Agree on a few of these. I'm not sold on Moon being a starter. JZ could move there, unless he gets up in the 275 range. Not sure on Taylor, he looked like he needs some coaching/improvement. We are thin at CB, injuries could be an issue there. I'd like to see Polite closer to 280 than 260 this year - he's got a real S&C coach this year so it may happen.

I also suspect Slaton may beat out Clark and/or we'll see Clark, Slaton, and Conliffe on the field together. Who knows there?

That is a line-up badly in need of a serious infusion of high-grade talent. I think we're improved in some areas as a team, but the overall "talent" on defense needs mucho helpo - especially with quality depth and LBs. If we needed any reminder of what a lazy, incompetent jackwagon our former "HC" truly is, the sheer mediocrity of that projected defensive depth-chart should suffice nicely. One of our few saving graces defensively is the small group of much better talent that is coming in, thanks to DM, and a high probability that the coaching should be infinitely better. I really believe that the offense will be significantly improved - It damn well better be. Otherwise, this first season could be a tough one, and we NEED a decent showing to improve our recruiting. I'm still cautiously hopeful, but I really didn't realize just how low some of the defensive player rankings actually were. Some one please explain to me why I'm wrong, I really, really want to be.

I don't know that CeCe can play out there in space. Maybe he just plays third and long. We will see. I sure hope Clayton and Carter force their way into the starting lineup.

I just don't see it with Little JT or Moon. Maybe I'm wrong but neither are SEC players IMO.

You and I are on the same page with this. I’m surprised Moon hasn’t taken a step forward yet.

JT Is one of many “diamonds in the rough” that Mac and co. tried to sell us on.

I can’t recall, but I think you had said in an earlier thread that you thought safety was in pretty good hands. Personally, I think FS is a disaster. I think we are in desperate need of an elite FS.

Do you think Jaleel McRae may be the solution?

We should land a solid DB class in 19. The D recruiting in general should be very strong in 19.

Honestly I don't care who plays where in the front 7 as long as we can set the edge on Defense this year. Flat out awful last season!
Go Gators!!!
