Am I the only one who listened to him as a kid?
actually - "Everything is Beautiful" was a favorite of mine... Was there also something about ... roller skating in a buffalo herd? And a song about a squirrel in church I believe...
HAHA... oh yeah, forgot about this one... classic
Holy crap... how could I have forgotten about this one?!??
Never heard of him...but have heard of the streak.
Me and my Gramps used to listen to him on cassette. Great memories. Some of his more recent work is more....political, but just as hilarious.
What's funny about this thread is SQ and I were at breakfast a couple weekends ago and The Streak came on the radio (this place plays old Casey Kasum countdowns on Sunday mornings). I made her watch the video of the song on the way home and she turned it off like halfway through.
Great poll idea. Which posters do you think listened to Ray Stevens as a kid? I’m voting for Cover2
Its the forty-third annual convention of the grandistic royal order of the nobles of the Ali Baba Temple of the Shrine!
Hahaha- from Hahira Georgia
I'm glad to see others enjoying his work.
I’m just glad you didn’t listen to Slim Whitman as a kid
Not a big fan of Ray Stevens but don't get the idea that this guy is some Jubilation T. Cornpone. He is a savvy businessman who is worth millions and owns a $3 million home in the toney Belle Meade area of Nashville. https://en.mediamass.net/people/ray-stevens/highest-paid.html
NV, how old are you?
Guilty as charged. The Streak was big when I was in Jr. High. "He ain't dressed (Boogity Boogity). He ain't blessed (Boogity Boogity). He's just in the mood to run in the nude!" For some reason this makes me think of what Law's college experience might have been like
How old do you want me to be?
