I don’t think he was confused. He just didn’t go all the way through it. He stopped halfway and just walked out. Can’t half ass like that at Bama.

Stopping is what says he did not know the drill well yet. Half-assing it is more to go completely through the drill but with little effort. I know you can half ass it by cutting a drill off. He more stopped in confusion than cut it off and headed back to the end of the line.
