1 million percent no. He has not been involved in college football for the last 30 years.

Rather stick with Muschamp, eh?

I wonder how Shanahan would be viewed by recruits.

Shanahan has a SB as an OC and 2 SB's as a HC. We could do a lot worse than Mike Shanahan.

Keep in mind this is also a guy Foley flew out to try and hire when Spurrier left.

:dunno:
Probably be viewed as a very old dude with a lot of rings.

I'm sure he's aware of all the pitfalls of coaching in college as well the recruiting trail and hell the SEC hasn't changed that much. I'll take him but I've got Stoops and Spurrier in my top three so what the hell do I know. Big picture may be that it gives more credence to Muschamp being gone sooner rather than later.

You may have not heard but the last time he was here, recruiting involved a duffel bag of money per recruit.

And Fooley generally doesn't like Old Dudes. Shanny is an Old Dude.

Better than Chimp? Sure. I just don't know how I feel about a guy who has only a few years left in the tank. He'd immediately be the oldest coach in the SEC, right?

I like this rumor. Let there be a blood bath to replace Muschamp.
Yes, it's helpful even if he isn't the guy. Just get the agents and intermediaries moving behind the scenes.

Oh yeah I forgot.

I knew that was a tenuous horse to be riding. But once you've seen the donkey show in Tijuana you've seen everything so for me anything is possible.
