Yeah, because the only reason Ron Zook sucked was because he missed a bye week one year.

Also, terrible title. Should be "Ron Zook knows the danger of losing."

Let's see. Ron Zook's last year? First game gets postponed due to weather, and it's rescheduled before the game that cost him his job? That sounds like deja vu all over again.

The ACC refs hurt Zook also.

Lots of similarities...both deserved to get fired. One got a one year stay on his execution.

I didn't believe it initially. I thought it was a good hire, until I heard him chastising the press and fans for questioning his 100+ranked offenses and his handpicked OC.

Zook had some bad luck. At least Muschamp has shown that he can get lucky in a season (2012). That has to account for something right?

While Zook had many issues that Muschamp doesn't have, there's no doubt that the postponement of the MTSU game to the week before Mississippi State didn't help his cause. Sure, he might have been fired at the end of 2004 (not in the middle of the season) if the MTSU game had not been played, if we had beaten Miss St, but still lost to UGA, anyway. But it just didn't help. I think Foley's gonna remember that series of events 10 years ago, which included, ironically, the new season opener against the same team, Eastern Mich, and just tell Idaho to forget about it. Pay their travel expenses (which have to be less than the $975K we promised them), and be done with them.

I seriously doubt our exposure is limited solely to travel expenses.

It's too bad we screwed poor Zook over. He sure showed us.

How about "Ron Zook knows that 8 is not enough"

I wonder what was going through the mind of Ron zook in the final seconds of the Georgia southern game last year? Assuming he wasn't cleaning toilets that afternoon.
