Got knocked out, sent to hospital and dies within a day. Talk about being knocked out.

You hate to see things like that. I used to watch boxing many years ago and I am trying to remember the guy that almost died and was left really brain damaged and was a top light heavy or a weight right near there. We wanted him to win and were ragging on him when he wasn't taking it to the other guy real hard and then he ends up collapsing and had permanent brain damage later. Made us feel so bad after that.

I think them stressing their bodies losing so much weight in a short time makes them more likely to have something tragic like this happen because heavyweights punch the hardest but don't seem to have too many of these incidents compared to the lower weight classes.
