Absolutely not. My two favorite days of the year are the first Thursday of March Madness and the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I know we've been their female dogs as of late, but man...if we EVER get back to where we should be, most of us will be happy with where it is. It's not when we play them that would help us. It's not that not playing them would help us. It's a matter of being who we once were and kicking their ass to end the regular season. It doesn't get much better than that. Go Gators.:chomp:

Yeah, the best thing about Thanksgiving now is waiting till Saturday to see if the Clowns score 50 on us and whether they manage to hold Butters to zero offensive touchdowns again. It's great fun. Then we do it again the next week vs Bama.

Awesome stuff. Back-to-back blowouts to end the season, then a shytty bowl. Our new tradition.

https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/ranking/schedule-strength-by-other?date=2016-11-30

FSU played a HARDER reg season schedule than us last year by a lot(8th vs 35th). I took a snap shot of SOS's prior to the FSU game. Advantage Gators. Good stuff right there.

2003 UF 3 FSU 5
2004 UF 29 FSU 22
2005 UF 29 FSU 13

2006 UF 1 FSU 46
2007 UF 10 FSU 30
2008 UF 2 FSU 24
2009 UF 4 FSU 19

2010 UF 15 FSU 12
2011 UF 19 FSU 35
2012 UF 5 FSU 40
2013 UF 13 FSU 25
2014 UF 21 FSU 27
2015 UF 17 FSU 32

2016 UF 16 FSU 6

So over the years we play a tougher schedule ave 13th to FSU 24th. I'm surprised this has to be quantized for you.
FSU has an easier path.

I only referenced last year. I'm surprised you didn't pick up on that. I bet that they have a tougher schedule this year too. It's just some sissy excuse like all the others.

Then what was your point? And it's not an excuse when it's a fact, Jack.

Right now it's not fact...FSU has a harder schedule than we do. Oops another excuse pulled out from under the excuse makers. Why don't you worry about how Mac is going to score one single offensive TD this year. Ya got any FACTS about that, Jack?

Because the topic of the thread is moving the F$U game.

Well cool...don't move it then. Right now, FSU has a harder schedule to play so we get them beat up at the end of the year. Perfect. Hopefully, Mac can use this to his advantage.

The ACC may once in a blue moon have higher ranked teams = better W-L records giving on paper a tougher SOS, but the ACC doesn't have the credentials of the SEC when it comes to hard collisions, getting banged up, # of 1st-stringers out at the end of the season.... or does it? Some Googlateerwant to settle that?

No matter what the school, injuries to 4-5 first stringers ain't an excuse, it's a grave diminishment of the team and an enhancement of the opposing team of few injuries.

4-5 players out of the game is a fact of life. Spurrier won an NC with most of the OL injured. We had three RBs out part of that year also, and sometimes played a freshman and a backup LB at RB.

If you can't recruit and develop elite depth, you will get fired from the SEC.

But he didn't beat F$U.

I didn't hear any Gators wanting to move the game when we were owning them not so long ago. Winners win regardless of the circumstances put before them. Losers make excuses and whine about those same circumstances being too hard for them to overcome.

Downers are not gonna like my supposition. An unassailable reality that's starting to soak in : HC Mac came into a "poor" post-Messedchomp situation (so many reasons experts believed UF would finish down in the middle of the SEC-East). Coach Mac accomplished more wins than "all" expected -- "all" includes those CFB experts? The facts are that Mac exceeded expectations (his first 2 years in a row = awards, awards)

Our AD is fully aware (proud) of awards.?? So I'm thinking UF officials believe that Mac will "grow" into the architect building UF as a constant contender. Further, the recruiting will grow, our FB players will be able to defeat FSU, then Bama. That's what I think our AD and big-wheel boosters have faith in betterment happening as our coaches and player-groups are improved (probably by replacing poor coaches [not the HC] with very-good coaches).

Conclusion #1 = Mac is kept for the full extent of his contract. Then, due to Gators rising back to stomping most SEC opponents East & West, the AD steps in early and extends Mac's contract.

Conclusion #2 = The GatChat Downers will find individual players & individual plays to tear apart.

Mainly = Mac will have staying power i.e. UF won't be leaping from "trial coach to "trial coach". I'm not a pumper because I see, recognize all those weaknesses ascribed to Mac's first 2 years. But can't name one SEC coach out of 12 (minus Sabin & Mac) that did not show more weaknesses than our Coach Mac.
