What criteria? Your criteria? You are ignoring the most important thing Foley said. "First and foremost we will hire a guy of top character..."

You also are ignoring the fact he is a proven loser.

These are the two most important criteria that you left off the list. Not sure if it was intentional or not but Kiffin's clearly doesn't met any criteria and he will never be a coach here.

Just for fun, here's a list the UF media corps came up with of people who WON'T be getting the Florida job: Freeze, Mullen, Rich Rod, Gundy, Petrino, Chip Kelly, Sumlin, Malzahn, Franklin, Quinn, Harbaugh, Shanahan, Addazio, Holgorsen, McElwain, Holliday, Briles, Spurrier & Kiffin

That leaves:

Stoops (still think the Spurrier link has merit, plus no buyout)
Patterson
Cutcliffe

I'm okay with them for different reasons.

6) Fit at the University of Florida - Fail

If you read between the lines, it is obvious he is a recruiter. He has no position specific coaching. He just fills open slots on staffs and his responsibility is recruiting, primarily Florida. Giving him credit for developing Reggie Nelson is beyond laughable. During his early coaching career the rumors of him being the bag man where pretty widespread. Maybe because he was out recruiting other guys. Maybe not. Always had a knack for landing kids from poor rough neighborhoods. His success at Marshall is mostly a product of recruiting Florida. I can't see him passing the Foley character check.

Didn't know about those accusations but his resume actually looks decent on offense and defense. Foley probably won't consider him if he believes that is true.

Finally, we have found someone you sign off on...

Not the only one, but one of the ones. I just believe it is easier to point out the ones that don't belong right now, then those that do. The collective expectations of what we deserve as a Head Coach at Florida have been lowered due to the last four years. It shouldn't be. Muschamp was proven to be a bad hire, but the next coach shouldn't be judged on that he is better than Muschamp. We should be looking for a top 5-10 coach, not a guy who has a good year with a questionable everything else.

It either means he has no interest, or we have no interest, or he's coming, or he might be coming, or nobody's asked.

This is a name thrown out on the radio a little while ago here in Jax.

Jack Del Rio. They said he's itching to be a head coach again and wants to give college a try. He has many connections in the south east from his time with the Jaguars while scouting potential NFL talent. During his time with the Jags he spent more time looking at kids from UF than anywhere else and he maintains a good relationship with Foley. TIFWIW.
