I like the M&P Shield 9mm. Easy to carry.
I bought one of those recently. Not really sure why, as I already have things that do that job. They were giving them away a few months ago. It is a solid gun and a super bargain.

Spontaneous purchase of a G19 with MOS. Thinking about one of those tiny red dots to help these old eyes. I also like the beavertail grip adapter. Very nice for getting high on the grip and controlling followup shots.

Kind of like this:

Recently did a two week shooting course (Rogers) and thinking of maybe shooting competition with the G17 it is replacing.
If you’re going to look at an optic for a G19, look at Barry Dueck’s website for mounts.

PS how did you like Rogers?

The one I bought is an MOS, so it came with mounts. I may need that mount for a Gen3 17 though.

I now rotate a Walther CCP 9mm, a Walther PPQM2 9mm, a Glock 27 .40, a S&W MP Shield 9mm, a Ruger LCP .380, and a Carter Arms Pitbull .40

I started to tell him why, but we all have different definitions of "proficient".

If I get into a gun battle, one of the last things I want to think about is which of my SIX guns I'm carrying today.

My most recent carry handgun purchase was the Taurus Curve. This is reasonably priced and includes a laser sight. Obviously, a .380 is not going to have the stopping power of something like a .357 Magnum.

You really can't go wrong with a Ruger. I have one of their short barrel .357 Magnums and it is very sweet.

I carry the Ruger LCR 357 although I usually chamber it in 38 hollow point

Yeah, I actually stopped carrying an HK for just that reason. Didn't want to have to remember whether I was doing a normal stab the button with my thumb mag release or that goofy HK up and down lever thingy with my thumb and middle finger.
