She will be happy for Trey Burton?

My take away from this game that what the hell was the genius doing not playing one of their two or three best defensive players at all? Butler won the Pats super bowl 49 with that super pick at the goal line late in the game against the Seahawks.

The review of both plays was spot on. On the first TD, its possible that he was bobbling the ball but its also possible that he was in control and just shifting it into his left arm. Call "stands" was absolutely correct since there was nothing definitive about the replay. Had they ruled it no catch, call "stands" still would have been the correct review.

On the second one, the call was "confirmed" as I think its clear that he was running with the ball after the catch. There is a pretty obvious difference between a guy's feet touching the ground as he's falling and a guy who is planting his feet deliberately while taking steps. He was a runner when the ball crossed the goal line.

No question that the constant tinkering with some of these rules has made it almost indiscernible. The fact that Ertz's TD had to be reviewed should be all the proof needed that they need to de-clutter the rule and go back to the basics. The player either caught it or he didn't. Clement's TD was close, and could've been called either way. Not the case on that final TD.

Today all scoring plays are apparently reviewed, another bad rule that can extend the game.

All of this is spot on. The first catch was definitely iffy, but there wasn't anything iron clad that showed he was bobbling the ball as opposed to shifting it from one arm to the other. The last touchdown even being officially reviewed was a joke. The man ran like three steps and dove into the end zone to avoid a tackle.

What’s not true?

That they never discussed it. They immediately discussed it. They said it was definitely a push.

Reason it wasn’t called is it was a bang-bang play. Pretty much as soon as the ball got there he was pushed. Although he was probably pushed about a half second earlier.
