Surprisingly, Westbrook left off Mackey Award (TE) mid-season Watchlist

The John Mackey Award (best TE in CFB) released their mid-season watch list. 33 players made the list, including TE's from such powerhouses as Florida International, Western Kentucky, UAB, South Alabama, and UTEP....no Gators on this list, not even Tevon Westbrook. Very surprising after that outstanding performance last Saturday.

Yeah, we have a track record of TEs coming to UF only to transfer or have bricks for hands. That's how you end up with DEs converting to TE.

Not 45th ranked TE. He was the 45th ranked DE. As I always say, I love all the kids who want to play for us and don't blame him when he's told he's in the 2-deep. He just shouldn't be, and definitely not at TE.

He was one of WM's many last second fillers, which is why we have a talented team, but not a UF caliber team.
