Wrong. In 2005 he went 4-7 and 1-7 in the very weak Big12.

Ok that was his very first year as a head coach. He's been consistent ever since. And the big 12 is way more competitive than the mountain west. Also if you think a recruit would rather play for Patterson than Gundy you're on crack

He's in a much better position and has no need to take the risk
How about double the pay? Money does make a difference.
Yes, $6.8M. That should do it. Hell that might get Gruden out of the box too

They are on their way to another 8 win or so season. He plays three decent teams a year.

It is all relative because he is also at OSU, in the Big12 which is the better conference. He has a massive booster pumping money into his school which is unparalleled anywhere in the country.

I'm not necessarily against Gundy. I do think he would be harder to get because he is at his Alma Mater and is making serious bucks already.

Patterson, like most head coaches are interested in whether they can win at the next level. The money, facilities and recruiting base at Florida are attractive to any coach that believes they can win championships.

He makes 3.75, Patterson makes 3.4. It's would probably take the same amount to get either. If we're going to grab a coach from the defensive side of the ball, why not grab Mark dantonio? He's not making much more than Patterson and he's way more proven

Oh yeah and that booster is not as supportive as our athletic program. It's been made pretty public he's been unhappy with the administration because they won't pay assistant s

Dantonio knows and coaches big 10 football just like Beilma. Patterson has shown a great more versatility.

Coaches coming from the B10 have had quite a bit of success in the sec. Just hope you like running the ball a lot.
