Franks is better in Year 2 as a starter than in Year 1. The strides he's taken under Dan Mullen are clear. Much like Burrow, however, questions remain about Franks’ ability to challenge the best defenses. Franks completed 44.8 percent of his passes and threw three interceptions in games against Kentucky, Mississippi State and LSU. In all other contests, Franks is completing 60.5 percent of his attempts with two interceptions. Obviously, you expect a drop for even the best QBs against elite defenses. But in order for Florida to truly contend, Franks must do more. You can’t rely on a trio of turnovers every week (like against LSU) to pull off big upsets.
