The Road to Title Begins Tonight - Gymnastics

#2 Gators hit the road to open the season against WVU. You can stream the match here at 6:45. Look for Jenny Rowland to use her shiny new toys (#1 ranked recruiting class) on single events to ease them into the season. Particularly interested in seeing Alyssa Baumann

and Jazmyn Foberg

perform. Also final run for these seniors, particularly Alex McMurty

who will go down as one of the GOATs of Gator Gymnastics. Just watch her triple full on her first pass (30 second mark) and the reaction of the LSU cheerleader is classic. Only Oklahoma and injury stands in our way for bringing home the 4th title for the Gators!

First rotation down, bad news, looks like Kennedy Baker is injured. Had to scratch her bars. Florida up 49.225 vs 48.425 On to vault

Second rotation down, looks like Kennedy is going to be scratched from the rest of the events. Ok Vault series for the Gators, the two freshman turned in solid 9.75 and 9.85 scores. Uf 98.175 vs 97.175 extending their lead to 1 point. On to Floor!

Tough third rotation down Florida had to count a fall, lost ground as we head to the final and toughest rotation Beam. UF 146.625 vs 145.8

Florida finishes strong on beam with 3 9.9 scores. Finish the first meet with a marginal 195.9 vs 194.425. I am sure the team is disappointed. The biggest concern has to be Kennedy Baker's status on her injury. On the plus side the freshman look as good as advertised.
