btw, by default we are the top team in the SEC East for this week. We are top seed in the eastern division-this week!
Next week is going to be a contest of the juggernaut of the east vs. the juggernaut of the west. What a matchup! (this is sarcasm, fyi)

According to that our defense was on the field for about 16 less plays than the KY defense. the big difference is both teams got in more plays than in most of our matchups last season it appears. Yards don't mean much when you are bad on 3rd down and in the red zone.

# of plays was padded by going 3 OTs, rush yards too.

Another thing. Our pass D in the second half seemed very porous. As per chart, they put up 369 yards on us.

Red zone failures...yes.

I have to say, the 'type' of O wan't unbearable to watch (a positive change), it was some of the execution that was lacking.
To who's fault, I will not assign.

They killed us on at least four 3rd and long and got a first down. Not enough pass rush and bad coverage. Not being able to get those stops will burn us against better opponents. And the red zone offense, or lack of offense, another thing that will add to our demise against better teams.

After those two touchdown passes, Poole did do much better. And Neal got his butt chewed good by VH3 after the last one and after that, Neal did much better also. I saw them arguing after the play and I was worried for a few minutes that there would be friction, but it looks like Neal took the coaching from VH3 and actually made good with it. I was impressed by VH3 taking the leadership role on the spot, and Neal's seeming acceptance of that leadership and moving forward from it.

Neale also took responsibility in an interview this morning which is heartening to see. Also by my count we had 5 bad drops on 3rd down and 1 non called pass interference.

Yeah when all these post game points of interest related to failures become scores, we know we're on the Championship Train again. :rolleyes3:
