I think Tennessee will give West Virginia fits.

Yeah, I can see us having to hear how much the latest Saban lacky has improved UTn all week after they lose but hold West Va down a bit.

Still very early, but UT's offense looks like a Will Muschamp (at UF) type of offense....stubbornly running the ball on 1st and 2nd down, no matter the distance and then having a 3rd and long. Luckily, they converted the first two 3rd and longs, then had a 3rd and 14 and WV finally brought the house and crushed Garantonomo (or however the hell you spell his name). UT has -14 yards rushing, and from what I've seen that's all on the RB's. Again, it's early, but offense looks very Will Muschamp-eque.

Thanks. I'm not seeing the 46k one-year drop in that article, but it definitely has numbers to support that the participation rate is dramatically declining.

Imaging you are a high school scrub player or the parent of such a player. Given the negative publicity about football, might you consider not getting knocked around in practice every day? I don't know if that is where the participation is down, but I could see that as part of it.

Arthur Sitkowski (from IMG), true freshman at Rutgers, got the start today and went 20-29, 205 yards, 1 TD. Pretty impressive, considering his HS numbers weren't usually that good.

Tenn just scored on a 4th down play, after calling timeout. It was a very Muschamp-esque drive:

17 plays, 78 yards, 8:47.

Central Michigan is up on Kentucky 17-14, with the ball and less than 4 minutes in the 2nd quarter.

I'm just gonna go with Guantanamo (Gitmo for short).

I kind of find myself both rooting for AND against Grier. Is that weird?

Just one half, but Grier sure doesn't look like a Heisman candidate. Tennessee is playing with 3 freshman DB's today.

A true freshman?

Yes, he was committed to Miami....but they purged him out of the class and he ended up at Rutgers. He was a big Butters target until it all fell apart (for us....and for him). He was a 4-star and was dropped to a 3-star about 2 games into the season.

Guess I lost a year somewhere.

KY's starting QB has looked pretty bad. I think we may see the other guy if he plays alright in the 2nd half. Wilson was staring his receivers down like crazy.

Grier has cost his team 18 points in that first half but I think they still may blow Tenn out in the 2nd half.

Justin Fields is 2 for 2, 16 yards and has 3 rushes for 33 yards as UGA is up big on Austin Peay at halftime.

I hope so. I took WVU -10 (the line moved to -9 before kickoff, so there was a lot of money coming in on tennessee).
