We tend to have problems making layups!

But, I understand your point. I would love a slasher going to the rim like Brewer and a driving PG like Scottie who can make FTs.

But we are not a top 10-15 team, which the 3pt shooting is holding us back from becoming. The 3pt shooting is holding us back from becoming really good and that's fact not an opinion. Driving the ball every play can work against lesser teams, but when teams match our size or clog the paint we have to 1000000000% shoot the 3pter and make it or becoming a top 10 team this year will be difficult. We have the talent to be really good now, if they just made 35-40% of their 3pters.

Um, that's pretty much the paint. When you get 5 guys packing it in on D, daring you to shoot the 3, shooting 15 footers is not easy unless you have tall guards, which we don't have.

We don't have to go bombs away in lieu of getting an easier shot via the extra pass, but we've got to do better than making 4-5 per game. The difference between first weekend, second weekend, and Final 4 is 3 point and free throw shooting. We've solved one of those problems, at least.

Well, there is some truth to that, but everyone managed just fine with a beautiful game before 1987.

Lol this is such a bad argument. If every team we played couldn't shoot 3s, then sure it wouldn't matter that we can't shoot em well. Unfortunately that's not the case.

Y'all will see as the season progresses....3's are a lot easier to hit when you don't have to live or die by them. White gets it.

Really capitalizing on the tough early schedule with nothing but road and neutral games. Our rating will obviously drop as the season goes along, but just getting out of that stretch alive has almost guaranteed us a spot in the tourney.

Yep short of losing to all the good teams from this point forward we should make the tourney this year. If we could split with KY maybe even get a pretty good seed.

What also makes this season different and good for our post season resume....is we only play 2 SEC teams that currently have an RPI above 100. Lots of solid teams we can get wins against to keep boosting our resume.
