We've now got two dudes who know offense, a huge change from the last 4 years.

This is a good point and it's why i wanted an offensive minded coach. Have two qb coaches is going to be huge for us

This thread on this hire. Really guys. Can we give the man a chance to coach a game or two before we lynch him?

What? Most of the exercise I get is from jumping to conclusions.

Well this answers one question I had. I thought McElwain might copy FSU and not have an offensive coordinator. I'm sure UF is paying big bucks for this guy, along with having to pay out Roper's contract, this is a very expensive change. It's all worth it if there is an improvement on the field in a couple of years. I don't see the talent present for an abrupt about face, it's going to take some time.

While I'm not yet sold on ole Nussy, I do like that they've worked together. I assume Mac knows what he's doing.

@AndrewSpiveyGC: Recruits really like the hiring of Nussmeier. Working on a story now.
This is most important to me. How does this guy recruit?
I think we do have talent at the skill positions, but the o-line has awful. Bama has been an embarrassment of riches on the line. This where we are grossly behind our rivals.

Lots of rings to show recruits. And the HC, OC and DC are all familiar with each other and recruiting in the south. McElwain doesn't have to coach up his coaches since they've worked together. This means they can start developing players immediately. Time to get some Jimmy's and Joe's

There's no doubt in my mind that you are the poster In My Eyes. The two styles are a perfect match.

One thing we can't forget about that - Alabama had studs.

No offense to our team but I don't see no Eddy Lacey's, TJ Yeldon's, or even McCarron's, and we def don't have their receivers. I feel as if our talent is more equatable to that of UM and we saw how that went for Nuss this year.

Maybe this will work out, I can only hope.

What did the studs at Alabama do the year before Coach Mac got there?

Here is a link I posted in another thread earlier today which dispells the myth that we have a lack of talent. https://florida.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1714733
