Coach Mouse is the greatest coach in UF sports history. 12 championships speaks for himself, and he strives to win it all every year. His story alone is incredible comoing from high school track to take over UF and make it a premier program.
A few things. Fahnbulleh is a terrible starter, but his top end speed is insane. He lumbers down the track and is far from a smooth runner, but he's a natural 200m runner. Taking the 100 was a surprise. Winning the 100 and 200 is amazing. He's awesome.
Watch his 100. He was dead last until 20 meters to go. Unreal closing speed.
The men winning it all is really nuts. They had guys in the 100, 200, 400, 4x100 m relay, and 4x400 m relay. That's it! No field events, no middle or long distance. Just sprints. Holloway got these guys motivated beyond belief. This was 13 years in a row with a top 4 finish.
If you want to know the respect coach Mouse has scroll to 5 minutes in this video. During his interview Fahnbulleh is talking and Coach Mouse wasn't having any of it.
He gave Joe the eye and the smile on Joe's face says it all
This was Holloway's 1st outdoor women's title. You know he wanted this one badly and this was a machine of a team with athletes all over the track. It wasn't really that close either. Anna Hall and Jasmine Moore are stars. Valby coming through with a 2nd in the 5000m again is just clutch (she kept crushing her own personal records and school records the last several races), and Diggs wining the 400 was awesome.
Now, can Coach Mouse PLEASE talk to all the other coaches. PLEASE!!!!
