Lots of talent at The Opening:

The Florida Gators won’t have any commitments this year at The Opening, but it features more than 20 of their recruiting targets.

The Opening is an annual combine for the nation’s top recruits at Nike world headquarters in Beaverton, Ore. SEC Country will be on hand to provide coverage throughout the camp.

Here are the top 10 UF targets competing in this week’s event:

Donovan Peoples-Jones, 5-star WR, Detroit
Measurables: 6-foot-1, 170 pounds

High School: Cass Technical

Ranking: No. 1 wide receiver, No. 6 overall prospect

Skinny: The Gators are shooting for another elite wideout and Peoples-Jones is their No. 1 priority. He visited Florida in April and is strongly considering the school. UF may be the only SEC program that can pull him out of Michigan, where the in-state Spartans and Wolverines are prominent players in his recruitment.

Shaun Wade, 5-star CB, Jacksonville, Fla.
Measurables: 6-foot-1, 177 pounds

High School: Trinity Christian Academy

Ranking: No. 2 cornerback, No. 13 overall prospect

Skinny: Cornerback is a pressing position for the Gators in this class, and they have to land at least one prospect who can play immediately. Wade would take care of both needs. He’s currently committed to Ohio State, but Alabama and Florida are threatening that pledge. He intends to visit UF again soon with his parents.

Alex Leatherwood, 5-star OL, Pensacola, Fla.
Measurables: 6-foot-6, 315 pounds

High School: Washington

Ranking: No. 5 offensive tackle, No. 20 overall prospect

Skinny: Leatherwood, an Alabama commit, is Florida’s top offensive tackle target. He visited UF for the spring game, and then the Gators coaching staff held a satellite camp at his high school on June 17. He appears to be solid with the Crimson Tide, but plans to make a return trip to Gainesville this fall.

James Robinson, 4-star WR, Lakeland, Fla.
Measurables: 6-foot-3, 196 pounds

High School: Lakeland

Ranking: No. 6 wide receiver, No. 39 overall prospect

Skinny: Robinson has been a big name on Florida’s board for more than a year and named the Gators his leader in the spring. Clemson had been the biggest threat in his recruitment, but the Tigers landed a commitment from 5-star receiver Tee Higgins on Monday. UF is in the driver’s seat for Robinson.

Jerry Jeudy, 4-star WR, Deerfield Beach, Fla.
Measureables: 6-foot-1, 180 pounds

High School: Deerfield Beach

Ranking: No. 7 wide receiver, No. 41 overall prospect

Skinny: With 5-star wideout Trevon Grimes seemingly set to commit to Ohio State, Florida has turned up the heat on Jeudy. He checked out the Gators last month and liked what he saw, putting them in position to land an official visit from him in the fall. Alabama is considered the team to beat for Jeudy right now.

Devon Hunter, 4-star S, Chesapeake, Va.
Measurables: 6-foot-1, 205 pounds

High School: Indian River

Ranking: No. 4 safety, No. 58 overall prospect

Skinny: The Gators may pull off a recruiting upset with Hunter, who would help fill the void at safety. Clemson and Virginia Tech had been his clear favorites until Florida hired Hokies secondary coach Torrian Gray. He convinced Hunter to come see UF during spring football, and now he’s going to officially visit.

AJ Terrell, 4-star CB, Atlanta
Measurables: 6-foot-2, 180 pounds

High School: Westlake

Ranking: No. 9 cornerback, No. 91 overall prospect

Skinny: Of the top-100 cornerbacks being pursued by the Gators, Terrell may be their best shot at landing one. He visited Gainesville on April 1 and named UF in his top 6 in May. Terrell recently attended Florida’s satellite camp in Atlanta. His decision date is Sept. 23.

Marco Wilson, 4-star CB, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Measurables: 6-foot, 175 pounds

High School: American Heritage

Ranking: No. 25 cornerback, No. 217 overall prospect

Skinny: Wilson isn’t ranked among the nation’s elite cornerbacks, but he has top-tier talent that was sidelined last year as he recovered from a torn ACL. Florida and Miami are battling it out for Wilson, who is the younger brother of Florida junior CB Quincy Wilson. His former high school coach, Mike Rumph, is now an assistant with the Hurricanes.

Kenney Britt, 4-star LB, Oxford, Ala.
Measurables: 6-foot, 232 pounds

High School: Oxford

Ranking: No. 15 inside linebacker, No. 314 overall prospect

Skinny: After landing three Alabama prospects in the last class, the Gators are trying their luck again with Britt. At this stage they’ll have to top Auburn and Georgia, but Florida coach Jim McElwain is personally recruiting him. Britt intends to visit UF in the coming months.

Tre McKitty, 3-star TE, Bradenton, Fla.
Measurables: 6-foot-4, 235 pounds

High School: IMG Academy

Ranking: No. 18 tight end, No. 453 overall prospect

Skinny: The Gators would like to sign two tight ends within their 2017 class. They already have the state’s No. 1 TE in Kemore Gamble, and McKitty is their top target at the position. McKitty will choose from Auburn, Florida and Oregon at The Opening.
