Lots of hate and disappointment over staff vacancies. Seems like wheels were in motion with details that may not have been known to all. Buyouts, contracts expiring, negotiations to get the right guy, etc.
Seider is a home run and comes from the Glades. That NFL pipeline will soon be flowing again. Glad Mac worked it out if reports are accurate.
I suspect many details on NSD were also not in the public realm. Also early commits are often the easiest. These are kids who KNOW where they want to go. We're going to soon be a choice destination once again. What Mac had to do was much harder. He had to close on the clock.
