Will Grier suspended rest of season for taking PEDs

Gainesville radio has mentioned this twice now. Mac's press conference was moved from 11:45am to 2:30pm, and a caller to the Dooley/Collette show said something about Will Grier being suspended due to testing positive for steroids. That sounded outlandish and I wasn't going to repeat it, but then the next guy, Steve Russell, reported there are "many rumors going around about a prominent player being suspended."

Damn I hope this isn't true.

I wasn't going to say a word, and dismissed it as some radio caller yahoo, until Steve Russell and Shane Matthews came on next and did not refute it, in fact, they fueled speculation by acknowledging the rumors and mentioning that moving pressers are usually never a good thing.

Meh. When there is very little to confirm, radio guys like that will tend not to confirm or deny something like that.
I wouldn't read too much into it until a more solid source than a caller comes forward.

For what it's worth, our track record sucks when it comes to "let's hope this rumor isn't true," see Tabor and Harris for UT week as the most recent example. Here's to this being the first time there was smoke, but no fire, when it comes to UF suspension rumors.
