Awesome win. Two observations/requests:

(1) Is it required that ESPN show a shot of that old worn out lesbian goat of a coach of scUM North on every frickin' play?

(2) Someone please give Curt Schilling a nice tall glass of STFU.

We should have some pizzas delivered to the Michigan girls tonight.

I beg to differ. They are now 0-3 against us and have yet to see a pitch from our ace. I'd say they're fretting like a MOFO about right now!

I hope you are right. I hope they are bothered by not tying the game in the 7th when the runner froze at third base.

A couple of their hitters concern me. I hope Lauren is rockin tomorrow in game 2.

She's been on fire both on the mound and at the plate. I see no reason to doubt her at this point.

If you really want to screw with them, start the freshman again and have Haeger ready to come in around the 4th or 5th to finish them.

Despite the rather rough 6th inning for Ocasio (which, thankfully (obviously)) she didn't give up the lead in...She still threw only 97 pitches..so it's obviously not out of the realm of possibility that she could come back and pitch in tonight's game, whether to start off or the full game..but it would be shocking to everyone is she started..gotta go with your ace (Haeger) after she got a days rest on the mound..which is like a 5 day rest to baseball players. Hopefully she can lock them down and our bats can keep plugging away and get enough runs in to close this series out in 2.

It's worth noting..while Michigan, I am sure, has seen plenty of tape on Haeger since we found out that we'd be playing each other in the Final series..they have yet to face her...that could be advantage us! :)

I would like to know where the cloning facility is that's pumping out 5'9", 200 lb. college softball pitchers. Every one of these girls looks exactly the same.

Perhaps you are referring to other teams, because Stephanie Brombacher, Stacy Nelson, Hannah Rogers, Delanie Gourley, Alicia Ocasio do not fit the mold.

Oh, and Go Gators. Bring it home tonight!

Tag, I never said UCLA doesn't have big girl pitchers, just that I know the one pitching for them in this WCWS was way below 200 lbs.

It was a generalization guys. A stereotype.

Of course there are exceptions. But in general, softball pictures fit the same mold, shot putters throwing underhand.
