Maybe it's not such a bad idea for liberals. Maybe there is hope for the future.

- Thread: Her Hypocrisy Knows No Bounds
Hillary Clinton said Tuesday she believes Donald Trump would have been indicted in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe if he weren't president, though stopped short of calling for his impeachment.
Clinton, the Democratic nominee for president in 2016, argued during a Q&A session in New York that Mueller’s report “could not be clearer” in making the case Trump tried to obstruct the Russia investigation -- even though Mueller did not come to an explicit conclusion on that question.
ARE YOU FVKKKING SERIOUS?
ARE YOU FVKKING SERIOUS?
The woman who wiped and smashed harddrives and phones under subpoena actually has the unmitigated nerve to so suggest that someone else would have got indicted?
The woman who was passing BEYOND TOP SECRET emails on a fvkking simpleton half ass email server in some dudes closet with ZERO security, has the nerve to say someone else would get indicted for doing something? While the govt still puts servicemembers in prison for years for sending one email or pic with something even considered "confidential" (less than secret or top secret) info?
The woman whose campaing literally colluded with foreign agents including Ukrainians and Russian to build a fake dossier in a desperate attempt to steal back the election, says someone should have gotten indicted.
The woman who coincidentally received 145 milltion dollars from a Russian controlled company within weeks of her transferring our Uranium to them, says someone else should have gotten indicted?
She and Bill will reign for ever as the King and Queen of Corruption. No one will ever touch 145 million, and that is just one transaction, and just the amount the Russians DIDNT bother hiding.
People create new wealth every day.
It’s not like Steve Jobs got rich taking money out of my pocket and your pocket and made us poor.
We gladly traded money in return for his phone. We did it voluntarily because we believed the phone was worth more to us than the money.
That my old friend, is the essence of capitalism. It is the voluntary transaction.
A farmer creates wealth with every ear of corn he grows. You voluntarily trade your money for his popcorn or tortilla chips or cornbread or grits. He didn’t steal your money. You gave it to him freely because you wanted to.
Henry Ford didn’t force people to build Model Ts at gunpoint. He paid them. They lined up for the job. And then people lined up to buy finished Model Ts from him. Voluntarily. Because they wanted the car more than they wanted the money. They were happy with the transaction.
Wealth is not a fixed pie where a bigger slice for me means a smaller slice for you. Capitalism makes the pie bigger.
Capitalism has raised more people out of poverty than anything else in the entire history of civilization.
Freedom of Speech means the government can’t stop you from saying what you want to say but it also means that it can’t compel you say what you don’t want to say.
Compelled speech is as bad as suppressed speech.
The baker isn’t refusing to sell her a cake. The baker will happily create a custom birthday cake if she asks. The baker will sell her any cake in the case.
So what’s the problem???
He won’t create a custom cake that celebrates her transition from male to female.
He also won’t create a Halloween cake with devils on it. He won’t create a cake with a stripper twirling around a pole on it. He won’t create a cake that disparages the US or veterans. HE ALSO REFUSES TO CREATE A CAKE THAT DISPARAGES BLACKS, HISPANICS, HOMOSEXUALS, OR THAT GLORIFIES NAZIS OR THE KLAN, OR THAT PRESENTS ANY OTHER MESSAGE THE BAKER IS MORALLY OPPOSED TO.
But of course you knew all that because the media can be counted on to give you the full story, amirite?
Is it your position that the Government should be able to force the baker to create art celebrating a message he is fundamentally and morally opposed to?
If so, please stop claiming you’re a champion of free speech because you aren’t.
By the way, this whole case is a set-up. The attorney set it up to go to court. She didn’t casually stroll into this cute little bakery and get thrown out on her ear. This was after the gay wedding cake incident. The attorney called and specifically said the cake was to celebrate her transition knowing she would be declined just to file a complaint against the baker. She was trying to set up a stronger case against the baker than the wedding cake case.
Be honest Windy. This isn’t a religious fundamentalist trying to shove his religious beliefs down her throat. This isn’t a religious fundamentalist intruding into the privacy of what this this person chooses to do in her own bedroom. To the contrary, it is the transsexual attorney using the power of government to force her beliefs and her morality down the baker’s throat. BAKE THE CAKE CITIZEN! BAKE IT OR ELSE!
I believe in freedom and liberty. I don’t want government shoving anybody’s morality down my throat.
Liberals often label conservatives as autocratic, dictatorial. However, it is conservatives (and especially libertarians) who want government to have LESS power over our lives.
- Thread: Seattle is dying
You know New York was like this 25 years ago until Guiliani cleaned it up. How? He made small crimes important. The broken window theory. Look it up. Liberals are incapable of fixing a problem like this. They just are. They can't get past the feels of the lowest common denominator to take care of the feels of the overwhelming majority of lawful productive people. They become paralyzed by the idea that somehow they might (gasp!) have to tell someone NO! You can't just do whatever the f**k you want.
They will destroy this country yet. We're seeing this now. No borders! Infanticide should be celebrated! Legalize all drugs! Cops bad! Cop killers misunderstood! Illegals go to the head of the line! People who don't work should get a free basic income! ICE are nazis! It goes on and one and the stupid country-killing $h!t they come up with gets more and more absurd every day. But you just keep on cryin' about the big mean orange man.

- Thread: Federalism and this Election
So you've heard about all the celebrities threatening to move to Canada. There is a secession movement getting hot in California. Seems like more than half the country is seriously depressed about the results of this election.
It shouldn't be this way. The president (even the entire FedGov) shouldn't matter this much.
The concept of federalism is a touchstone of our political system. A definition of sorts from Wikipedia:
We are a large, diverse country. Wyoming is nothing like Maryland. Alaska is nothing like Massachusetts. Utah is nothing like Washington. Why should Montanans be governed by the same laws as New Yorkers and Bostonians?
Unfortunately, for years and years, the FedGov (and especially the presidency) has accumulated more and more power at the expense of the States.
The problem is partisans cheer this when it is their party that is in power. Full-throated support for Obama when he uses his pen and phone to impose his vision of America on his political opposites. Well, I warned you then that someday the shoe would be on the other foot. Democrats are now terrified of what a President Trump might do with his pen and phone.
You can't have it both ways.
The solution is for less power centralized in DC and more power being returned to the States where it belongs (coupled with less government power overall). If you're not happy in ultra-conservative Salt Lake City, you don't need to move to Canada. You can try Denver, or Seattle, or Portland, or San Fransisco. Unhappy in ultra-liberal Chicago? Try Houston or Oklahoma City. Vote with your feet. Vote with your wallet.
Liberals love to pontificate about conservatives "shoving religion down their throats" but lack the self-awareness to realize they are doing the same thing to conservatives, just with a different sort of religion.
Obama expanded the powers of the presidency to impose his values on millions of people who didn't want it. That's tyranny. Just as I opposed Obama's efforts, I would oppose Trump's efforts to impose his values on millions of people who don't want it. Red or Blue, tyranny is tyranny.
My point in this thread is to show you liberals who supported Obama's actions how wrong and dangerous that was.
This is why I support federalism, weaker government in general, more liberty, and more local control. This is why I'm a libertarian.
- Thread: Catholic churches are being desecrated in France; officials claim no arson while building is burning
Ouch. I've read through this whole thread.
There is no department or organization that can accurately and definitively declare the source of the fire after such a short time. Ditto with a "police investigation." If anything, agencies should be doing an even more thorough investigation, rather than rush to make a declaration. Anyone suggesting otherwise has other motives.
Secondly, I am not among those who believe that if this is determined to be terrorism that suddenly the French will become incensed enough to "take back their country."
Thousands of human lives have been lost to terrorism and they didn't resist this movement, but now that a building is destroyed they are going to suddenly evolve a backbone and gonads?
