I had to sign up for this forum strictly because of this thread so I know my opinion is not going to matter to the posters that have the only opinion that counts but here goes.
Cassius Clay was a loud mouthed, self important egomaniac. His rapid conversion to islam was a sham and a scam. The only reason he didn't go to Canada is because he had the money and the sycophants behind him to stay out of prison. Vietnam was not about killing black Americans, it was about stopping Communism. Has any of you Clay protectors actually researched how many innocent people were murdered in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam after the Americans pulled out? We're seeing the same thing in the Middle East now with ISIS, Al-Qaeda and the other extremist groups. It's not always about the immediate threat to America. It's looking forward and taking steps to prevent events.
I lived thru this era and was in the Army in '66 and '67 and I consider what Clay did to be just as detrimental as what Hanoi Jane did.
Just my .02 and adjusted for inflation .06.
The Klan used a burning cross. The Nazis used an iron cross. Should Christianity abandon the cross as its symbol?
Is the Star of David offensive to Palestinians? Is the keffiyeh offensive to Jews?
Is the Union Jack offensive to Indians? Is the red star/hammer and sickle offensive to the millions of victims of communism? Is the Japanese Rising Sun offensive to Koreans?
Do we ban all those symbols too?
Is any symbol entirely pure?
Are we SERIOUSLY trying to equate a BETSY ROSS FLAG to the ISIS flag? REALLY???
You know, exactly what SNL has been doing for decades.
Would you be so nonchalant if Melissa McCarthy was getting death threats for her Sean Spicer impersonation?
And she’s a grown-ass woman who lives behind a wall and a gate with armed security.
This is a little girl. Prolly goes to public school. Her parents could be fired if they’re doxxed. She might get kicked out of Harvard some day. For a bit of innocent political humor?
I think you need some self-reflection.

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Some times he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy, the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical, summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds, pretty standard really. At the age of 12 I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum, it's breathtaking, I suggest you try it.

In before it moves to the PF...
The fact that he lives under that flag that has provided him a system wherein he was adopted (and not abandoned), provided an education and the opportunity to succeed at a high level (and making $$$ for being an oppressively bad QB), while totally ignoring the fact that a few bad cops don't equate to a bad country.
Duh-hoosh-bag... go be concerned about Chicago and what's happening there.
