The nail in the coffin was against dwags. We punted constantly while I believe they broke a record for 3rd down conversions made. It's got to get fixed - a big part of it will be getting size and talent on the interior of the line. Without it they will just continue to gut punch us with the run game year after year.

The formula for beating the buttsniffers has been the same every year since I've been born. Stop their run game and its game over. Even their best QBs struggled mightily without a run game. The only times theyve ever beaten us, theyve been successful on the ground. Theyve had plenty of successful through the air losses against us - the common denominator is always the ground game. Georgia is a running team, always have been, its their DNA. They still run the same dang run first offense that herschell walker was running 30 years ago. Stop the run and beat them no matter the year. Why this seems like such a mystery to the staff is beyond me but Im optimistic they have figured it out and is why we are seeing lots of bigguns getting crooted this cycle.

I agree, but we also couldn’t get to Fromm on 3rd & long when we DID stop the run. Our sack-happy D got zero sacks that game. Zero. I thought our healthy DBs would make a big difference, but with no pressure Fromm picked them apart.

There were a lot of people upset about the Knox hire. A lot. Maybe not everyone expressed it, but I can't think of anyone except maybe pumpers who even had a positive thing to say.

I recall Zuniga as a DT recruit. Yes Slaton was recruited as a DT. He was one of the top OTs but he wanted to play defense. We were one of the few schools that were ok with it. I think Bama entered the picture late.

By KC I meant Clark (2014). I think you’re taking about Campbell. I mixed it up.

Zuniga was always a DE. A lot of people thought he could grow into a DT, but I don't recall hearing that from coaches, just posters. Mainly because we've been desperate for DT's for a long time. If I remember correctly, he had a lot of trouble (like Polite) with even putting weight on.

I’m more concerned with the perception of the kid spurning us twice for rivals that are in the gutter...And Harris is gonna head to A&M based on his latest interview...2/2
“Next Wednesday will be interesting “ somehow translated to “I’m sticking with am” to you?

They’re not all going to start. At least 2 of them could probably eventually switch to SDE. Now I might be wrong about this, but don’t we actually run 4 Down men a lot?

DT is by far the hardest position to predict. A lot of those guys fail out due to grades or they just never have the strength and motor to compete at the SEC level. How many DTs over the years have flat out washed out of the program?

Hell over the last couple years we’ve had a few players who haven’t even made it to campus.

Bring in six down lineman.
One or two probably won’t qualify.
One or two will probably wash out.
One or two won’t be ready for several years.

That probably brings us down to about three that will contribute.

it’s all a numbers game.

That was a huge reason in losing the game and if we want to get back to Atlanta it begins with the LOS.

Ox is drawing power from you!

I don’t have that issue accessing via Tapatalk. There are some other limitations but my battery is not draining crazily.

Your phone will tell you what is draining the battery. Have you made any changes recently like adding Facebook, Hulu or another app? Hulu is a huge battery hog on iOS.

I don’t have fb or Hulu on my iPhone 8. Tapatalk drains my battery faster than when I use gmaps for directions. Weird, because it didn’t used to be that way. It seems to have gotten worse in the last couple of years, I think.

FWIW, my firm limits Facebook bandwidth usage and this site lags massively trying to load something from there.

I was looking at the data stream and see sync.bfmio.com constantly trying to pull data.

I have no problems on my android or desktop. But on my ipad Air 2? I can't type anything. It lags at such an incredible level. I press the back button once and suddenly half my post is deleted.

Hate when the facts get in the way of a good BS narrative.

119 yards is not shutting them down, not even close. I stated clearly that there have been plenty of dwag qb's who have had good days against us through the air but still lose when we shut their ground game down. You have done nothing to prove otherwise. 119 rushing isnt shutting anyone down. From could have thrown for 300, but if we actually stopped their run game we still would have won. You seem to imply that because they had a relatively low output on the ground compared to other games this year, that means we shut them down. If this is what you were implying it shows you have a fundamental misunderstanding of statistics. If, for instance, they were averaging 240 and we held them to 160, that doesnt mean we shut them down. Stop their run game and we win, that's it.

no argument here. Ive complained about our pass pressure designed defense who gets zero pressure on good teams all year long. I think Grantham's system is fools gold in that regard. We load up on sacks against teams we'd beat easily without them, but against teams that are tough our edge pressure is non existent.
