Even for you, this is a funny disregard for truth. I love that you provided a link to prove your wrong. In the top 25, we each have 3 and ours are slightly higher rated. There are 3 undecided players in the top 28. We are in on each (not getting my hopes up) and FSU is not. Hardly getting killed.

The class is not good enough - unless it leads to staff changes, then I’d take it like the Zoomer’s MSU loss. But, let’s not act like it’s a disaster.

Plus, at the most important position, there is at least a chance Mullen brought in a great equalizer in AR. A great QB can overcome good, not great recruiting (see OU and years prior Clemson). For that to happen though, you need very good to great lines of scrimmage. We may have done that too (though I suspect we are overrating that aspect too - we got numbers but don’t know yet if they are real players).
Dead on. Balanced analysis. Funny how the QB gets ignored by most.

Didn’t we get our RB when AR signed up...isn’t our QB the RB according to this board?

I see JDW has recovered and is back to pumpermode.

It is what is and what it will be at this point and most likely the foreseeable future....
To be the top program in the State (and back to back top 10 rankings) with the most quality recruits and one(FSU) going through a second coaching change in 3 years speaks volume on the effort and abilities of the staff to come up with a class that may not finish in the top 10....and middle of the road in the conference.

I remember a time when getting at the minimum at least 2 or 3 of the top 50 ranked recruits was a given.
Mostly agree, but I can remember looking at rivals national top ten to see how many we had and expecting more than one.

Nope I’m saying everyone says our QB needs to run the ball all the time and if he does why would a RB want to come here at all? You’re right we’re going to be running MSU offense here with the way recruits are stacking up and after Trask is out where do we got from there? A bunch of small TE types that can block and a scatback to complement our FB sized Qb

"oh well, just have to coach em up".... in Oct "oh well, he cant win without talent."
I will say, there seems to be a consistent chorus of "i trust the coaches evals more than star rankings", followed only a few months later by "you have to give him time, he cant win the big ones until he gets some talent on the roster." The "he" has been every coach since meyer. Was hilarious seeing some posters blame meyer's recruiting for muschamps inability to win.

Some things never change

Well, I gave him that for the first year, after all Meyer left two classes with only two offensive lineman in it. But two classes later when Chimp hadn't fixed it but in fact made it worse, he owns it.

It is the same w Dorky Dan.

Having a Heisman QB cures a lot of ills.
This is the basis of my belief.
I actually think we have one of the better QB rooms in the country.
I think Emory may possess Heisman-like abilities. If Dan lets him throw it more. Trask is one of the better returning QBs in college football. And AR seems to be a seamless fit for mullen's system. We've went from being a QB away from contending, to that being the position I have the most faith in.

If you look at some of the other sites they are calling out the poor recruiters. You have a couple of Baghdad Bobs but they are getting drowned out by those that want Knox and Gonzo replaced. Actually most of them want Knox out think Gonzo has done enough to keep his job. I’m with the donkey on this one, get rid of Robinson, Knox and Gonzo. Now that I said I agreed with the donk , I feel like I need a shower. Guess that’s part of the process

Top 50 in the country?

:lmao2: Yeah, Mullinz will never sniff that. He isnt a Chimp or Zook level guy even.
Hell even in the Chump era we pulled in guys like VH3, Bullard, Fowler and a few others that were top 20 in the nation.....I can't believe this staff can't get any....never mind I forgot we had Durkin.

Look, I know you don't particularly like Mullen. That's fine. But for someone that seems to know so much about football be so unequally yoked to recruiting is baffling to me. It means a lot. But it doesn't mean everything. Let's say we signed the #1 class in the country. How many of those kids would actually have a real impact on the upcoming season? Sure some will get playing time, but only a couple would play meaningful minutes. Our class isn't chopped liver. It may not be elite on paper, but clearly you're smart enough to know that development doesn't work that way. We have highly talented players that are very capable of becoming stars.

And you chose my post to call out for having no basis? That's laughable. Considering 97% of the posts I read here have no basis. That's kinda what an opinion is. If there were basis it would be fact.

Dan's returning our swagger. Say what you want about him, but I bet other teams aren't clamoring to play us anymore. We had become a laughingstock. Not anymore. He's given us credibility. Restoring the mystique. I like where the program is going. And YES my opinion is that we will win a championship under Dan.

We are more dangerously thin at safety than WR. No chance he goes to offense. Fenley Graham though probably

No, I get the numbers. I'm just thinking if we were to get Williams, we'd now have two true Safeties (plus Britt who should also end up there) and one that is more of a project athlete. If we're teaching him something anyway, would it be worth a shot to at least see what he can do on O?

Again, you're probably right. It's likely not been mentioned for a reason. Just thinking out loud.
