or he's going to take it from Toney, which is going to greatly miff the little guy. This will lead to anger, fighting, and possibly guys (including Toney) leaving the team. Mullen has already lost control of the situation in advance.

Isn't Toney gone? I know he has a year left, but I thought....

I heard he wants number 11....we'll find out what kinda team player Trask really is....

Not a problem. Trask wants his bronze outside the stadium to have a diff number than DW, TT, and SOS, so yeah...no problem.

After nearly a decade in the dregs, which has obviously impacted recruiting, it’s good to see us moving the needle forward however we can.

I’m pretty sure the UF admin looks at it the same. Regardless what any of us think, Mullen is going to get at least four, maybe five years to work through his plan.

It’ll be painful if it includes more losses to UGA, but that’s the way it goes after a lost decade.
Solid post and I have to agree, although I hate the thought of losing to the dwags.
However, if the excuse for losing to them is that we are overmatched in talent, then as we all know there can be no excuse for being out-recruited by them.

So how do we get back on top? We have to beat the dwags and I felt like our best chance was this year, and our coaching staff failed. That was a game that we really needed to win.
But it's always that way, and even Zook found a way to get it done. Yes, we were still a very talented team but so was ugly.
The dwags have always had the talent but we had the team and moxy to beat them.

I really hope our Gators approach every game EXPECTING to win. I didn't see much of that in 2019. I saw a team that found their competitive attitude when they were down. And they found a way to win.
A championship team expects to win every game; there is no fear and there are no exceptions.

As fans, we can find excuses for losing. We can sit back and philosophize about the contrast between "goals" and "expectations."
But as a football player and team, the only expectation is winning. That's how it has to be.
And there is no excuse for losing.

Certainly true for those playing and coaching. Anything less than expecting to win is absurd.

Message board hero’s are a little different. We probably didn’t have anyone expecting a 15-0 season. In fact some on our preseason polls had us losing 3-5 games.

Let’s hope the coaches and team expect to win every game next year. Interested in how many of us expect that to happen.

Teams take on the mentality of the HC.

FFS give it a rest. You get a perfect setup to talk about....these....and you go on a lecture about guys who don't even actually do the ratings. Goldkamp isn't a scout, Alderman isn't a scout. They write stories. If you read enough of their stories or listen to them on podcasts, you'll hear them mention their scout team that actually does what you are talking about. But dear God, appreciate what UF brings to sports reporting.

Does it matter? Would you even notice if he didn't get his 2-3 plays a game?

Was about to say the same thing but he still looks dominant and fast.

I read on some Miami blog that before his injury Lingard ran the 40 in 4.27 ... that's super fast. I hope he retains that speed for us.
