@Rotoworld_Draft: Report: Napier a candidate for Baylor HC job NFL DRAFT: Napier a candidate for Baylor HC job
Dear sweet Baby Jesus......let this be true.
He's a good dude. He and his wife stopped by and had lunch with me a couple years ago.Whelp.... I havent found Wobble yet, so maybe he survives.
Who are you calling nearby? If you're going to say Strong, go waterboard yourself. The guy hasnt had a good defense in years
Assuming Grantham is gone, who’s the best replacement? Do we try and get Strong back, or promote someone like Gray? Try to poach someone? Will we likely lose any recruits over this?
Tosh Lupoi is the best replacement. Will we get him? Nope.
Most of our recruits right now have already signed their LOI. Of the ones that haven't most are on the offensive side of the ball
That said, I am slightly concerned about losing one or two good recruits - especially if Grantham's replacement is underwhelming

Maybe him and Gray as co-dc’s if Mullen isn’t happy with his play calling.Id throw 2 mil at Lupoi
Bam Hardmon might be worth a look. Not sure what Marquand Manuel or Mike Peterson are up to.
You also don’t know how much CS has removed himself from the hands-on work with the D. Or if usf talent is just not enough to work with. But I get it - he hasn’t looked good recently.
As much as everyone here hates Grantham, the players love to play in his style of defense. Im not convinced we automatically upgrade if he leaves.
Anyone who isnt a Dwag is an upgrade. As much as everyone here hates Grantham, the players love to play in his style of defense. Im not convinced we automatically upgrade if he leaves.

Also, anyone who can make Ugly ount occasionally, which is every other DC they played this year, is an upgrade.
I think you can still be in an attacking style defense without simply blitzing basically every down, except 3rd where you inexplicably play soft zone and watch opponents pick up the necessary yardage.
I’d agree that I don’t want. Shannon-esque scheme. But TG’s just seemed so easy to predict and lacked creativity, imo. The fact that Mullen has kept him around as long as he has tells me he wants an aggressive style as well, so I’d be shocked if we didn’t something similar, just improved, and hopefully better at recruiting.
You can attack without playing DEs at DT and OLBs at DE. And without forgetting tomrecruits DTs, ILBs and safeties.I think you can still be in an attacking style defense without simply blitzing basically every down, .
