Good Lord. A wave of nausea went through me when I read that. What a dreadful way to make a living. When you weren't trying trying every which way to separate people from their money, you were bored out of your mind waiting "on point" for the "up bus".

Honestly, I'm going to have a lot of 'splaining to do to St. Peter when I croak, and a good handful of it will be from when I sold cars.

I though that most of the coaching here was to be patient, take your time, don’t be emotional about it and walk away if you need to.

That was all bullshyt to give you the courage to venture out to the dealerships. When you sell cars, you take an oath, joining a lifelong fraternity whereby you're duty-bound, against the penalty of execution over the drain in the service bay (or castration in some chapters) to deliver up any and all pigeons for "full list sacrifice".

So get out there and step up! A GMC Yukon Denali XL with second row captain's chairs and your name, NVGator, written all over it, is just waiting for you to pluck her off the lot. Just calling out to you. Are you man enough to answer her call? Are you? Just say "yes". Now, into your computer monitor - "yes"!! Yell it again and again. Yes!! It feels soooo good to say "yes"!

Now, take that positive attitude and your checkbook out there. Tonight. Bring your baby home and tuck her in to your warm, snuggly garage. She needs you and you want her. You want her bad.

Post the signed purchase order tomorrow morning after you take delivery so we have proof you manned up and bought your sled, and so we can laugh at you. This is your moment! You've got this!

Still haven’t made any move. I’m considering all of my options. I though that most of the coaching here was to be patient, take your time, don’t be emotional about it and walk away if you need to. However, you all have the itchy bug.

I was trying to utilize the EOM/EOY as an incentive but there really wasn’t one so I slowed my role. I’m not buying new, I’m buying used. With that, CarMax has changed the game. There isn’t anymore negotiating on price. Everyone is using the data to price vehicles and not move on the price. It’s a take it or leave it and the next guy will take it.

I’m still shopping but not solely tied into the Yukon/Suburban anymore.
Great attitude that will serve you well. Just know that all these other "advisors" are self-admitted salesmen and can't break out of their habit of coaxing you into a sale.

My .o2 is that a used GMC Yukon or Chevy Tahoe would be the perfect vehicle and that a Jeep will be a ton of fun until you start driving it daily or on long trips.

Good luck.

Pulled the cord today. Spent 3 hours at the dealer getting it done. 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Sahara. 6,300 miles. Previous owner only had it for 6 months. Basically brand new. Got a steal of a deal. Thanks for all the help and information.

Well, to whomever made the prediction, that does have the Dodge Caravan minivan engine in it.

Im curious, how did you go from "must have backseat captains" to "fvkk it, toss granny in my Jeep"?

I’ve always wanted one. My boys always wanted me to get one because they love them. 5.5 & 7 year old boys. The Yukon XL / Suburban will be the next car that replaces my wife’s car. We decided we didn’t need 2 SUVs and this deal on the Jeep was out of no where.
