Why isn't Brian Schottenheimer ever mentioned for head coaching gigs? Or is he only fit to be a coordinator in the NFL? I always thought it was cool when he was on our sidelines and dad was coaching KC?

The only way he becomes their HC is if a Tinerc like situation develops and all of their other choices say no thanks. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.....

He was up for a few gigs a few years ago, but some of his coordinator stops were not the best results.

is it safe to say that Joe Lee Dunn Jr. was probably never a candidate at Cowbell? He coached there so if they are not interested or is their 50th choice, then they know something that some of us feel. We can't even give some of our asst. coaches away. Telling to me.

His specialty is backwater programs. MSU definitely qualifies. And who knows? Wide open passing offenses can be successful in the sec.

I’d say he or his agent likely put his name out there as a candidate and the AD office said “thanks for submitting your resume, don’t call us - we’ll call you”. Our best hope is a move to another DC job.

A friend with MSU connections says Sarkisian is not allowed to recruit in his current gig at Bama. I assume that's a carryover from his past off-field issues. If true that would seem to be a big negative to take into the head coaching interview process.

He believes Billy Napier wants the job and will eventually be their choice.
