I wasn't upset. Just seeking clarification. I was sensing a potential miscommunication. I don't mind throwing jabs, but I prefer not to start something that isn't there.
My apologies. Wasn’t meant for you. I got my replies mixed up. That was meant for the Donk. I’d be a whole lot more clever if I was coming for a MC. Edited for clarity.

Back to Judge. Just finished reading a CBS Sports account of how Belichick may have pumped Judge for the Giants opening as part of an effort to block McDaniels from talking to other teams. In spite of New England’s elimination in the Wild Card round, Belichick refused to move up interviews McDaniels had scheduled with Carolina, Cleveland the Giants.

It may be for naught. McDaniels and his wife are in Cleveland to interview for the opening.

Where does all of this leave Meyer? Probably back to waiting on Kelly to leave Notre Dame.

I'm wondering how much of Meyer's suddenly pulling out of jobs to retire, to start looking for jobs the next year has hurt his chances in the League.

Probably a fair amount, although I’m not sure it should. The average NFL head coach longevity is certainly shorter than the time Meyer spent at Ohio State or Florida.

But that longevity usually ends with being broken off, not retiring to get away from the game just to turn around a year later and actively look for another job.

MSU is giving Leach an assistants salary pool of $4.7 million, which is a "significant" increase over what Moorhead got.

Remember the Schiano to Rutgers thread? The deal almost fell through, then rumblings from alumni got it back on track. One of the things Schiano got - a $7.7 million assistants salary pool.

RUTGERS is paying $3 million/year more than an SEC school in salary pool. That is unbelievable.

However, Leach will make $1 million/year more than Schiano.

Heard something wild on the radio yesterday about this hire. Leach is the first HC Miss State has hired who was currently a college HC since they hired Arthur Morton away from VMI in 1949. Everyone since was an asst. getting a bump, like CDM, or a guy who was currently unemployed like Sherrill or Darrell Royal who was in the CFL. That certainly says a lot about the program.

Wasn’t Moorhead HC at Temple?

I love the Leach hire. He is worth the price of admission. The back and forth with Kiffen will be epic. Leach is almost as entertaining as SOS was.............
