"Gotta tell Bubba he should probably fire me, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea," Williams said

Clemson had never won a single basketball game over UNC in Chapel Hill, an 0-59 streak that dated back almost 100 years. Roy Williams seems to be over it. My sources say he’s eager for a fresh start where it’s a little warmer in the winter time and the pressure to win isn’t as high. I also heard he was seen at Leonardo’s pizza in a boot talking to Scott Stricklin. Discuss.

Williams: 'Fire me' after Clemson's 1st win at UNC

Well he would never work here if he can’t handle pressure cooker situations. We only give coaches 4 or 5 years to see if they can cut it.

Well you have to protect the great recruiting classes that will come in and underperform on their way to a 5 seed in the NIT.

My guess is that Coach Williams is tired for a lot of reasons. Primarily he and UNC seem to have become a perennial second in the state behind Coach K and the Dukies, not to mention nationally. Age and time in the business probably factors in there somewhere. Time away or a change of scenery might well be what he needs. I'd like to think we could get someone of his stature, but we'd need to make darn sure he had some gas left in the tank and not just looking for a ease into retirement gig. Of course much of this is daydreaming based on the basketball malaise that is now Florida basketball.

Roy Williams sux, the modern day Ray Meyer. His teams play worse defense than White's team did at Mizzou and White's teams try to play defense. But Roy does like to play uptempo offense so that might placate the masses. But Roy is old, suffers from vertigo and has collapsed multiple times during games. Roy's next stop is Century Village.

That reads like an Ox thread title without the semicolons.

Couldn't happen to a nicer crowd, they get off the hook with the NCAA solely because of their merchandise sales. If you ever watch a home game at the Big Nosed Liberal Dome, after every single sticking foul call against UNC when the whistle blows, their crowd boos, doesn't matter if the call is 1000% legit, how dare you call anything against us type of attitude.

And we don't want that crybaby Roy anywhere near Hogtown. He never gave a **** about UNC, and they hired him anyway.....

They cried so loud the NCAA let the biggest cheating scandal ever slide without a single penalty. I completely gave up on the NCAA that day.

I remember when The Villages was a mobile home park in Lady Lake along 441. Nothing big or remarkable at all. And Lady Lake was a notorious speed trap I'd pass going to Gainesville. They had this tiny one room police station next to the highway and you'd sometimes see a hand holding a radar gun out the window when you drove by. They'd radio up ahead to a patrol car if they caught you speeding. Things certainly have changed for the Villages now. It now spans 3 counties now and damn, they sure know how to party up there!
