Burrow is good, but to declare him a generational talent based on one season is asinine, as is to say this years LSU teams is one of the all time greats. Recency bias is powerful, everything that is currently happening is always the best ever to people for some reason.

This LSU team wouldnt come within 20 points of ‘95 Nebraska

The guy just racked up 60 TD passes in one season. Are you gonna label him a system quarterback?

Beat 7 top 10 teams. The last 5 games (including SECCG, playoff and NCG) by at least 17. Gotta give credit where it’s due. That was a great football team...especially late in the season.
Im surprised at you quoting some nonsense about beating however many top ten teams. Thats nice, we all know rankings are fluid and at times nonsense. They had a great year and I recognize that. They werent so good that we couldnt have beat them had we played again and I coukdnt say that about that Nebraska team. They just steamrolled opponents. You couldnt stop them and you couldnt score much on them.

Just my opinion

At halftime last night I remember thinking LSU wasn’t playing all that well on Offense. And yet, they had 28 points. Then for most of the fourth quarter had their foot off of the gas and still finished with 42. I hate comparing teams from different eras, but everyone should admit that’s one helluva scoring machine.

You really are swallowing his junk. Damn.

No, I think he is an excellent QB, I hope he somehow shakes down to the Dolphins as I think he is NFL ready. Im just not ready to label him the goat just yet. Settle down fellas, you dont want to come off like easy sluts.

I may have overextended myself by using the word generational. He certainly is generational by college standards, but we all know even that can be fleeting.

Yes.
16 TDs in 2018.
Wonder what was different about 2018.

I think there are multiple reasons, including his own maturation. I don’t think you can pin it all on Brady, if that’s what you’re fishing for.

I hear ya but I disagree. We had no chance to beat them because we couldn’t slow them down. We grinded hard for every point. They damn near scored at will.

Good one, man, although the UCF thing is a little bit overextended. I suggested they could compete with the SEC bottom half. That’s really not a stretch.
In a one game type scenario - say ucf and ole piss play a non con early in the season - i agree. But as far as being in the conf and finishing with a record indicating they were middle of the pack? Not a snowballs chance...

They would be vandy or Arkansas if they played a full schedule.
