Not really, my local video game place has them refurbished for 40 bucks...that’s our style though get it refurbished

Maybe while Foley is there he can pick up some old Betamax players and tapes for the players lounge. Young kids these days feel that streaming services like Netflix and Hulu are waaaaaaay overrated.

If they got a commercial loan for 15 years and financed the football facilities upgrades it would only cost UFAA around $8,000,000 a year. It's comical when you consider they are getting $45,000,000 each year from the SEC.

$6M per year would easily support a $90M facility upgrade capitalized over 15 years. There is absolutely positively no excuse for our failure to support the football program.

The article title and the posts in here bury the lead.

To be clear, the football program generated $48 million of profit, yet the UAA only had $18 million of profit. $6 million is only the year to year increase.

The football program is carrying everyone else’s $30 million annual loss. $30 farking million dollars yet we have to wait for funds to finish the football building. Edit - MBB made $2.5 M profit. So, everyone else lost $33 M. Ho Lee Fug.

I know we are all screaming into the void, but this is absolutely outrageous and a breach of the AD’s fiduciary duty. Mullen must want to rip some UAA throats out Patrick Swayze style.

It's the culture. "Woke" in the UAA. Pretty soon they'll be building a place for trannies in the athletic dept to go for a safe space.

Yeah. I brought that up in one of my BS core classes at the Florida Gym when the Prof. was discussing D1 athletic budgeting. She made the mistake of bringing up title 9 and how the funding for football was so "absurdly excessive" was the term she used I beiieve. I chimed in and said that the FB program was funding all the others with maybe the exception of mens BB and that I thought it might be a stretch to say FB was overfunded when they pretty much generate all the funds for the entire budget. Probably cost me an A in that class. Couple of FB players were taking that class and they were looking at me like I had lost my mind but were later like "dude that took some balls to say but I was so glad you said it".

Unfortunately, those people are still running the ADs office.

Admin is still 30% of the operating expenses. p6. Is anyone surprised?

They seems to think football provides only 59% of the revenue. p.5. But sponsorships account for an additional 25%. Anyone believe that Jordan is here bc of our basketball or gymnastics?

Notice a trend? Glamour schools in the sunny southern weather = athletic programs that cater to a plethora of warm weather sports and thus historically share a bigger piece of the pie amongst the little sisters.

Maybe our Socialism is overdone relative the others. Dunno. I don’t see a lot of CFP bids happening from any of the above five. We’ll never catch up to Texas in money, that much I can tell you.
