Mrs. G and I are currently watching "Vienna Blood" on PBS. A cop and a young psychiatrist solve murders in 1906 Vienna. Pretty good whodunit that is all filmed on location. First two episodes (2 - 1 hour parts each) are also available on Amazon Prime. Definitely a different take on the cop buddy theme.

Wife and I just watched, since the new year: The Sinner (2 seasons, the third is airing on TV now). Good show, solid, entertaining, dark.

Also, we're finishing up season 2 of You. Really, really good. The guy is like a Dexter, but more sexual/stalker/creepy. Dark, but comical...and creepy as hell!

I liked the show, but the SciFi aspect of it was stupid/unnecessary. It's a great concept though, could be done w/ a lot of wars (The War of 1812 would be a good one to do w/ this concept).

Wife and I just started season 2...about 5 episodes in now. It’s really good but we like season 1 better...so far

Finished The Spy on Netflix: a true story about an Israeli spy who infiltrated Syria in the 1960s.

Sacha Baron Cohen stars and does a surprisingly good job in a more serious role. His acting can be a little wooden at times (as well as some of the other characters), but overall a good series. 6 episodes ranging from 47-86 minutes.
Just finished The Spy. Go watch it.

I might give it a whirl just to see where in Vienna... one of my favorite cities.

I think I have more miles walked in Vienna than I do at Ft Knox, Benning, and Bragg combined! I really, really like everything about Vienna.... changing avatar now! ;)
I did a TDY there in the summer of 2000 and I too walked quite a few miles every day. One of the worlds great walking cities with quite a few very cool spots off the beaten path. Somehow, my walks always ended up in one of those spots enjoying a local frosty beverage.
If any GCMBers think they’ll be going anytime soon, try “Purstners” on Weimerstrasse in the old city. Fair warning, bring an appetite. Oh, and definitely not good for Vegans......

Schitts Creek is funny. Annie Murphy is easy on the eyes.
Looking forward to a new season of Barry. Bill Hader kills it (no pun intended). The great UF Alum Stephen Root costars.
The Boys is pretty good. Erin Moriarty also easy on the eyes.
The Witcher requires that you pay attention. There are three timelines as much as 70 years apart. Anya Chalotra is smoking hot and not shy. ;) Also I was about three episodes in before I realized the titular character was played by Superman.
Messiah keeps you guessing, Dude comes out of the middle east performing miracles but the show keeps you guessing until the very end. No hotties.
The Righteous Gemstones is okay. John Goodman plays the patriarch but Danny Mcbride steals the show.
Succesion is REAL Good. I don't think there's a single likable character yet you kinda feel sorry for some of them. Plus I just love seeing how the mega rich live. That should be me, damn it.
I would think I would love The Man in The High Castle but I found it too slow paced. I think once the premise was established the plot wasn't that interesting. For me anyway.
Tried to watch Don't F with Cats but I couldn't get past the sound of typing. It grates on my ears. Gawd I hate that sound.
I really enjoyed the first season of GLOW. Women's wrestling set in the 80's. Lead female character is likable and Mark Maron as their manager is very relatable.
If you liked Archer check out Pacific Heat.
The Good Place (Kristin Bell and Ted Danson) is funny enough.
If you haven't watched Russian Doll yet, check it out. Plus they've announced a second season tho' I have no idea where they are going to go with it.
I'm not big on crime dramas but Mind Hunter was really interesting.
I couldn't get into Narcos once Boyd Holbrook left the show. But the first two season were must watch.

Narcos is great...the Narcos Mexico is just as good and season 2 just came out.

Yeah. I restarted Season 3 last night. Much better, now that I have some distance from seasons 1 and 2.

I started season 3 with the wife and stopped halfway through because she wasn’t liking it and I was meh. Restarted it on my own and watched it while I was flying for work and loved it. Watched Mexico like that too...I’m so much more dialed in watching it alone with a headset and no distractions...really helps me with all the subtitles.

Yeah it totally takes away from the spirit of the show when you have to sit there and mansplain every little thing that's happening or pretend to pay attention to some rambling comments coming from outer space every time she gets distracted by a shiny object.
