Much deserved. Although I would love to see it happen, I don't think our program will ever reach the heights that it did when Billy was here. He brought us from a program that would hang NIT runner-up and sweet 16 banners in the O'dome, to a team that could hoist national championship ones. He never got enough national (or even local) credit as he should have.

Anyway, as I said, much deserved.

The thing that stood out the most was that, as we all know but is seldomly reported, Jeremy Foley still has too much to do with UF business.

The naming is great and of course your idea of "too much" is different than the leadership of the athletic department and I bet many donors.

Can we rename the head coaching position for him, too? Mike White won’t mind, he’ll find work elsewhere.

Foley, be gone you foul demon. The fact that you are somehow behind this move, even though it's honoring one of the great human beings in Gator history, immediately makes me repulsed by the rank odor of your mitts being all over it. Go. A. Way.

Fantastic! Billy D is the Steve Spurrier of Gators basketball history. Both coaches took those programs from a mediocre (at best) history and brought our programs to Elite status. Plus, Billy Donovan Court sounds a helluva lot better than Exacto knife dome or whatever the place is called now.

They should’ve also said “here’s a contract. Welcome back.”

I have tears in my eyes. This is so deserving to a man who gave his heart and soul for the Gators, Gainesville, and Gator Nation. I wish I could go.

In my view it's still a little too early to say. Personally I'd wait for a little more consistent success from Mike White (i.e. getting past the opening weekend of the Tournament, at least)

Chris Harry, right, posted this yesterday on FB. Donovan looks like he’s lost considerable weight.
