Gators had 17 assists and ONLY 5 turnovers. That was huge tonight. We also had 6 blocked shots. LSU's leading scorer Mays averages 16 points a game, Scottie Lewis held him to ONLY 3 points. Lewis, Nembhard, and KJ was huge tonight leading the way.

Now it’s not a question of IF we get in the tournament, but what seed we’ll be. Ceiling is as high as 6 (if we win SEC) and floor is 12 (if we collapse and lose last 4 games).

lsu has great teams in most sports but they are the biggest whiners in the SEC. I really enjoy giving them a good butt kicking!

I don't think you are right. If we lost the rest we'd be left out. We are really close though . Basically only a complete diaster we'd leave us out. The way this team finishes games I wouldn't bet the farm on it

Very nice game. In control the entire way. KJ shows again why he is our MVP.

Look who attacked the rim all night....Mr. Lewis! What a difference it makes. He still takes some bad angles but I love him attacking.

Andrew also had a nice game. 17 points 4 assists and zero turnovers. We only had 6 turnovers all game.

Jitoboh is raw as ever but came in and scored 6 in his first 6 minutes.

Payne? Came in and almost immediately failed to rotate on defense but luckily LSU missed the dunk. He is totally lost on defense. He has to figure it out. Few coaches will allow you to play on with defensive lapses. You have to earn your minutes in practice defensively. He’ll get there and eventually be a star...but he has to work this out or continue to lose minutes.

We handled their press well but as someone pointed out we didn’t always exploit that success. We could have had several transition buckets but didn’t take it home.

Just imagine if we didn't shart the bed against Mizzou, Miss State, and Ole Piss. Would have been 13 conference wins by now.

Jittaboh is TERRIBLE and flat footed as can be. The LSU player has scored over him about 8 times this half with easy layups.

He’s just raw. Real raw. He has lost a lot of weight and now needs to firm up and work on his athleticism. I think he also started playing basketball late so the learning curve is steep. But yeah....no match inside for the LSU bigs.

Very proud of this team. They’ve fought through adversity. They’re young, starting to jell. Could make some noise in the tournament.

Next year is going to be the year we crush it and bring it all together.

LSU came into tonight's game at #3 ranked in offensive efficiency and we total trashed them and held them to their 2nd fewest points in SEC play.

At the Buzzer: Florida 81, LSU 65 - Florida Gators

Huge win tonight for the Gators, not much to complain about when we play like that. White was actually coaching and running up and down the sidelines many times coaching and directing the players. Great to see our guys go inside a ton with success and driving to get close range buckets. Hopefully we can keep it going in the next few games to finish out the regular season. Go Gators!!

Right Marine1 .... Jitoboh went 3 for 3 for 6 points in just 10 minutes. We need to develop a 6'11" 280 lb Gibraltar to clog up the inner game of the opponent. He has a soft shooting touch. Off-season White ought to assign Jit to the track coach.

Yeah, I expect that he could put the shot.

It was our best game of the season. Is it a trend, hope so. But, it helped that LSU has had moments all season where they are just awful on defense. They rotated so infrequently that our drives were wide open.

Locke needs to move a great deal more wi Tj out the ball. He is not being shut down by lowering his shooting%, it’s more reducing his shots by staying on him. Kenpom has some interesting analysis on how little 3pt shooting % defense matters (offensive %’s matter a lot). How many 3’s you allow per game is more important because it is a truer test of how you guard the line. Whether the other team hits them is not really a factor the D impacts much if they give up the shot in the first place. Anyway, since starting so hot, Locke is on a stretch of being made irrelevant. 2 3pt shot attempts tonight. Maybe the defensive focus on him opened those other lanes though. I don’t know b-ball (or LSU’s scheme) at that level to really know if the lack of rotation was due to driving to Locke’s side toward someone that wouldn’t leave him.

I guess we'll be refusing that N.I.T. invitation after all.

Mid-Major Mike's most dangerous team yet will be dancing instead.

Stay tuned Gator Fans. March Madness 2020 going be lit, y'all. :chomp:

Now that is a performance to be proud of! Good D (LSU made 2 pray shots with a few minutes left) and I saw some good ball movement, and great ball security. Keep playing like this Gators!
