They are different cars. The Miata is more go cart, no doubt - around 2200 pounds. This little car has a lot more power but it's heavy - over 3400 pounds and AWD. The fun part is the turbo, which winds up and makes terrific sounds.
Nice work Ox. I think you're a pretty tall guy(?) hows the leg room and head room when the top is up?

Far better than a Miata.

Plenty of room for me (6'3").
This maybe the part I like. Germans make cars that fit me. Im an inch shorter than you but even so, many Japanese cars just dont fit.

You're also 150 pounds heavier than me. That makes quite a difference.
:lmao2:

I was 155 in high school. Probably 165 at age 25. Perhaps 175 at age 30.

I peaked at around 205 a few months ago, age 43. Then I got the flu and lost 10 pounds. Right this moment I'm around 198.

Everyone knows you're over 300, old hoss.

I've got a grand total of 5K into it, including the purchase price ($2,900).

It's a lot of fun for 5K, which was what I was looking for.

Great choice. And for that price? Holy crap. Well done, sir. Well done indeed.

Are you mocking my 6X shirt?

I can wear a 4 or 5X but I need room to hide my ninja swords and small battleshield underneath.

Also, I dont actually drive a Subaru or a Pilot. Clearly a landwhale couldnt fit in that. It is a 1 ton Suburban w a Diesel and towing gears.

I've thought about it but it's a lot more work. Not a priority at this time. Banning you for life is higher on my priority list.

Do it. Once Sanders is elected I'll press for him to nationalize this dump and turn it over to PE

I’m in a similar situation. My car weighs ~ 3,600 pounds. That’s heavy. It’s quick, powerful, handles exceptionally well with the wide stance and Quattro. It’s not a throw-it-around car like a Porsche. You can feel the difference driving.

I’m cool with it. I’m not going to the track. I’m going up and down urban streets. The car feels planted, substantial, well built. That appeals to me at my older age.

Porsches now come with electronic steering. You can steer the car with your pinky. It makes a lightweight car feel even lighter. Too light. I traded one in on this car and immediately fell in love with the greater steering feedback, the throwback feeling. Almost like digital versus analog.

It would be hard to complain about an Audi R8. I’d like to see some pictures of it.

Mazdas are just fun to drive. Never owned a Miata, but had a 79 RX-7 and a M3 hatch. both fun little cars to drive. the 79 was so light I used to catch air going over RR tracks. Got into some trouble with that car given my age at the time.
