I saw a headline before this announcement that it was down to the Patriots & the Bucs. Why the hell would he leave NE for Tampa? I guess he could retire but that sounds unlikely.

@RapSheet: The #Bucs made a strong offer to QB Tom Brady believed to be $30M or more. The #Chargers did, as well. And now, he’s leaving New England.

Chargers
Bucs
Bears
Colts

Those would be my guesses. Money at the top of the list, fit at the bottom.

Hey Tom...................................RETIRE! Go talk to Montana about his great run with the Chiefs.

He played two years. First year he got them to the AFC championship where he suffered a concussion. They won their first division championship (either ever or in forever).

Second year he got down to the playoffs again.

And then he retired.

OK? He got a concussion and made it to the playoffs.

The dude wants to play a couple more, and I don’t blame him. Cutthroat Belichick made sure that was going to be somewhere else.

I
But Brady has six rings, and more money than he could ever possibly spend. Not to mention that his wife's independent net worth is as much as his, if not more.
It's not just more than his; it's a lot more. Like more than twice his. Supposedly, he's worth around $180M; She's worth over $400M.
