Buc fans are so excited. I'm going to enjoy the look on their faces when the reality hits they aren't getting Brady at 30. They are getting a 43 year old QB whose previous team didn't want him. If Kraft truly wanted to keep Brady, he'd still be a pat. To add to that, the bucs have had one of the worst rush offenses in the nfl for year after year after year. At his age, he needs a running game. He can;t carry things like he once did, not at 43.
Nobody cares because it means that Rapeis is gone :woohoo:

Some have unrealistic expectations, but the bucs just went from Winston to an old brady. If he stays healthy that's an upgrade just because of mental decisions. He doesn't have to carry the team, just guide them.

lol what a ridiculous looking getup.

"Buccaneers" is a good name for a team IMO. It has potential. Pirates are cool. But Tampa Bay has never really pulled it off in a cool way.

I like the pirate ship with the cannons that go off when they score. Other than that, meh. Too Disneyfied and cute. Thematically they should try to be darker and more ominous, like the Raiders.

It already is darker and more ominous. Looksie here at the HBC in the old creamsicle uni with limp wristed Bucco Bruce on the helmet.

There’s no way that’s Spurrier.

**EDIT**- Well, I guess I’m wrong, it is him.

Of course it is. He’s the original Bucs QB.

(Hair looks a little long by SOS standards, but hey, it’s the ‘70s.)

I thought the Buc first QB was John McKay Jr?

McKay Jr. was a quarterback-turned-flunkie wideout whose presence on the depth chart led Spurrier to question McKay Sr. over the appearance of nepotism.

Spurrier led the Yuks through their infamous 0-12 inaugural season. Poor guy. He is forever “mortified” in the annals of Tampa Bay history.

I’ve mentioned this before, but Spurrier never tells any stories about being the QB for perhaps the worst NFL team of all time. I’ll bet he’s got some hilarious stories to tell, but no one ever asks him about it.

...and the mention of Junior circles us back to the topic of pirates.

it's of course not only a football thing but it's amazing what having the correct last name can do for a career.

poor guy got demoted by his own Daddy, but still has a job.

Knowing Spurrier, I'm sure he let his feelings on the subject be known:

Got a notification that GGG keeps tagging me. I mean he has tagged me like 3 times in this thread, so since he clearly wants me to pay attention to him, I will post.

Hope all my old friends here are well, and everyone stay safe. Yes, I am one of like 5 conservatives left over there, so you can imagine what it is like during coronageddon.

Anyway stay safe everyone. Even you Gordon.

Now stop tagging me. You STILL aren't my type.

This clip never gets old. I laughed seeing it when it happened and I still laugh now. Usually l see it as a gif, but this was much, much better. Hilarious to listen to Herbie and other guy struggling to not say “what a dumb azz!”
