Do you:

  • Accept the fact you will soon look like Tom Hanks in Castaway

  • Try to sneak past law enforcement to get a haircut outside the police state

  • Let your wife attempt to cut your hair

  • Ham sammich

Let's say you live in a police state where it is illegal to get your hair cut by someone who knows what they are doing. Let's call this hypothetical place orange county Florida.

I went with “let your wife attempt to cut you hair”, but the reality is that I’d do it myself. Because that’s what I am doing right now.

still, if you are staying home and had her cut it, if she does a bad job, she won’t bytch about the idiot you let cut your hair.

Likewise. I’ve always believed chicks like the rugged look. Additionally, I’ve let my beard grow toward ZZ Top dimensions during the lockdown.

I'd answer, but as this place being a radical fringe site, and is being monitored by several spook (not the darkie ones) agencies, and they're building a database of who to go after when they put the hard lockdown on. I'll refrain some answering that i'd probably let the wife have a go at it..

“Spooks.” We had a Weimaraner named Spook when I was growing up. Grey with pale blue eyes made him kind of spooky looking. Ironically we had to get rid of him when he chased a black guy out of our yard who was picking up our pecans without permission. Of course he’d also chased a few of the neighborhood turds who were skulking around as well. That particular descriptor reminds me of the late ‘60’s.

Great subject.

I was already planning to start cutting my own hair anyway, before my salon closed due to this. For logistics, I go to a place close to home, and every time someone cuts me 2-4 times, they bail. I’m a perfectionist and am done having to sit through 2 or 3 bad experiences before they finally get it right, only to start all over again. I can save money by doing it myself, as the lines should cross somewhere in early month 3. Should give me more freedom on time, keep me from ever getting to shaggy, and save 50+ per month, especially during summer. Plus I don’t have to pretend that I’m not looking at the odd lower-arm/hand tats, or sit through small talk as I know quite a bit about myself.

I’m almost positive I saw a gun on that messy desk of yours. May have to reload a little more often than you’d like, but still should be good.

I'm in the military, I usually get my haircut every 7 to 10 days. This is killing me! I'm at 14 days right now....

I haven't paid for a haircut in 10+ years. About twice a week I use clippers with no guard. Gotta stay extra aerodynamic just in case I find myself in a street fight or a foot race.

I spend $13 about 40+ times/year, plus I give my barber $50 at Christmas. I'm thinking I might just 1-guard it from here on out. At almost 50 years old I do have a full head of hair though, not sure if the wife will like me looking like a concentration camp victim.

At this point, she prolly figures she’s in for the duration anyway; go for it.
