I'd be curious to hear from some of our resident experts, but I'd expect Freddie Swain to be drafted. What am I missing?Mock draft w/ 5 UF players taken:
Seven-Round 2020 NFL Mock Draft: Buccaneers help Tom Brady with O-linemen and RB, Patriots take Round 3 QB
Round 1, Pick 17 - CB CJ Henderson --> Dallas Cowboys
Round 3, Pick 1 (65) - DE Jabari Zuniga --> Cincinnati Bengals
Round 3, Pick 12 (76) - DE Jonathan Greenard --> Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Round 3, Pick 39 (103) - WR Van Jefferson --> Philadelphia Eagles
Round 5, Pick 19 (165) - RB Lamical Perine --> Jacksonville Jaguars

I just don't know if he was productive enough. There are WR's like him all over CFB. He did have an excellent combine (his 40 time was legit and his 225 reps). He could sneak in the 7th round, and so could Cleveland. But again, there are a lot of similar WR's around CFB. I'm curious if Reese makes a roster. He's slow, but he's also a 'football player' - he's always around the ball and you don't make that many tackles in the SEC being a scrub.
Good info. My thought was based on him appearing to have good speed and elusiveness and a proven ability to play STs (and from what little I have heard a good attitude). Can his lack of production can be explained away by depth and style of offense? Looking back on his career, I suspect if the current redshirt rules were in place back then, he would have played a little less his freshman year - and we'd all be looking forward to his redshirt senior year.This is possibly one of the deepest WR drafts in history. That is why Swain might not be drafted. There are legit first round guys who might not get picked until the early third round.

That's too bad. I confess to being a big FS fan.Well, his productivity was a result of our offense - none of our WR's were overly productive (stats wise), especially compared to some of these teams that put up 300+ passing yards/game. Also, he was essentially our #5 WR/TE target (Pitts, Jefferson, Grimes, Cleveland....then Swain?). And yes, he should have redshirted but Butters is an terrible roster manager. His ability to play ST's will likely get him an NFL roster spot for a year or two - but I'm not sure he gets drafted.

Interesting. I think Henderson is a second round guy talent wise. And I think Zúñiga and Greenard are 2nd round talent Guys as well

Henderson is apparently killing the team interviews.

he had some poor tackling performances.
Not very athletic and Mullinzesque production numbers are hindering him.I'd be curious to hear from some of our resident experts, but I'd expect Freddie Swain to be drafted. What am I missing?
