Big deal on admiring the finished product. SAS's speed of hand is what deserves praise.

I would seriously need new bifocals to even attempt that.

And patience lots of patience
It was certainly a challenge. The diagrams were really well done, but some parts of them were really hard to make out, and I have perfect vision. And like I said in the OP, my back is really sore today. Normally I would have done something like that at the dining room table, but SQ is working from home and that's her desk. Plus the cats would have bothered me constantly while I was trying to concentrate. So I used our patio table and sat in a folding chair, bent over at the waist pretty much the entire time. My thumbs are also shot from pressing the pieces in. I didn't anticipate the physical toll this thing would take on my body.

For anyone interested in trying one of these out, here's the page that has all the different Gator stuff you can make. I'm considering doing one of the Albert ones in the future.

So since I have all this free time at home and nothing to do with it, I ordered one of these miniature knock off Lego models of The Swamp recently and spent the last two days building it. All told, I think it took me roughly 10-11 hours and I ruined my back, but the end result was pretty awesome. Even shot a time lapse video of the construction. Law will be disappointed to hear that fresh paint and drop tile ceilings were not included.

Nice mise en place there, Sas. And that is a nice piece for the home. Here, FWIW is my nine-year-old son listening to some funky third-stream jazz and building a Fiat 500 at his Lego workstation. On the table to his left is an expert level modular building chain, about 15,000 pieces in total, that he started adding to when he was eight:

If you look closely through the windows you can see the flooring in the press box. Carpet squares.

I heard Urban Meyer built one of these just so he could make a tiny little Ring of Honor and put himself in it.

If any Noles see this and are inspired to build a model of their own stadium, they do have a newer version than the one @cover2 posted above. Here you go, knock yourselves out:

For some reason I was expecting a Sasquatch to be big enough to find in the stands, but nope. As usual, the bastard was hiding from us all.

I thought it would be bigger.....
Twss

Edit: Damn it. Too late. Lets face it, 9 inches is hopelessly optimisitic. Sas is Mr International Wannnabe, so no doubt it was 9 cm.

Did you shave your arms and legs so the friction wouldn't slow you down while building, or are you a competitive swimmer?

So I was pondering a potential scenario. What if Sas invited @Swamp Donkey over to admire his creation and out of sheer spite towards Sas & his socialist viewpoints, Donk picked the LEGO creation up and smashed it into a thousand pieces as he laughed diabolically!

What would you do Sas? That would be some pretty funny schit! My suggestion is maybe Ox be there to film the incident and the ensuing brawl. He could then post it here and charge $49.95 per person to watch (heck, maybe he could live stream it). I’d pay to see that brawl. :bwahaha:

P.S.- I’ve got to tip my hat to you Sas. That’s a really impressive model you built. The background artwork is also really cool!

Aren't Sasquatches supposed to be hairy? Just sayin.

I’m not a hairy person, I didn’t even shave regularly until I was in college. But hey, if you normally ask other men you don’t know about their grooming habits, then you do you. :ugh:
