Most posters in political forum are intolerant and borderline hateful of anyone who is not pro-Trump/conservative/libertarian. Putting corona thread in main sports forum was a mistake, glad the thread was moved. I’m no longer posting anything in the political forum because I don’t feel welcome and it’s not worth my time and sanity.

The site is not as fun without sports around. You know things are slow when Grant Delpit gets four pages of posts and counting. I even ventured into the Lounge for a bit to post about music and movies. I like the making fun of each other and jokes about non political things. Hopefully sports play return in summer/fall for all our sanities.

Got banned from chat box because of innocuous comment about those in the corona thread. I’d like that to be removed.

Lastly what’s going on with Sas? You should remove the site ban, he probably didn’t do anything wrong except hold differing political views than most on this board.

For years, I've performed experiments with noobs. You give them a poke, take a little swipe at them to see how they react. Those that melt down and/or get butthurt are doomed....they have no chance at making it. Those who give it back or engage in self-depreciation earn my instant respect, and are the type of people who are around a while.

I dig the place and how you run it, @oxrageous . I like being able to give smack and understand it will come right back at me. This board is for people with their big girl pants on and I like that you always seem to take that approach. Some can get out of hand a bit, me included, and timely warnings are given. People can say what they want here and that is the only true way you will get the true mass opinion about something. If someone says something stupid they are immediately called out on it. If they huff, puff and cry about it then that is on them. The only thing about being stupid is being told why you are stupid then remaining that way.

I like the funny button. It allows me to positively react to something without saying I like it. I might not like something that makes me laugh .. but I still laugh at it.

This really is the whole point. GCMB is about sports and the rest is just fluff. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the heck out of a bunch of topics in the other sections, but we are all (other than a few opposing fans) here for one main reason: to talk UF sports, be it good, bad, or indifferent. Unfortunately, there's not much to talk about on that front at the moment.

I haven't met too many people who self-depreciate, but I have not met Urg, so maybe he keeps shrinking. My retirement account is, but probably not all by itself.

I think we should also add a "your an a$$hole" button, for times when you might actually agree with someone's general post/premise, but think that, even for this board's standards, that person is being an excessive a$$hole and we would like to share that sentiment with them.

If we did, then that should be the one vote we should be able to give our own posts, you know, in case we want to exercise some self-deprecation.

Ox there's nothing wrong with this site or how its run. The only way you could improve it is to let DocZaius post the TnA he wants to post in the saloon. Getting rid of rev was the best thing you could have done. There are a few more that need to go...but seeing as how you are a benevolent and merciful dictator I can't fault you for your patience.

I like to have one of these every year. I received this email recently and I wanted some feedback. Here it is in part:

"You've got a good board there with a lot of good posters, but as I've said before, a LOT of people are turned off by the wild west bull**** that goes on all the time there. And maybe that's what you want. But I guarantee you'd get more traffic and participation, maybe even from some older REALLY good posters, if you were able to get a grip on some of the craziness. I'm not saying you have to censor everyone and make it a pumper paradise, but it also doesn't have to be a free for all. That's just my advice, you can do what you want with it."
