I did have another idea. Make the bowl games special first games for some teams, then play the season after those. Sure it might be too cold in some areas but additional neutral site games could make that up. I hope school will return to normal and we get the normal football season, but the massive panic driven response might make that unlikely.

I am really starting to think what will football in spring look like. I also have heard the same thing from the health science center.

as crazy as it sounds, I’d be down for the swamp in February/March/April. That would make 3:30 kickoffs way more bearable then September

During any extended college classes downtime, how many will go to welding school and lead happier lives?

A spring season? No fans? What will college football look like in 2020?

Start practice end of June. If an outbreak occurs on a team, then they stop practicing/playing. Play full season in the fall with no fans or a highly limited number of fans (a few thousand scattered throughout a stadium). Acknowledge the possibility that not every team may be able to play all its games because of the virus on their team or a persistent outbreak in their area. If there is a big impact to the season, then cancel the playoffs and just do bowl games (unfair to have playoffs when not everyone has chance to compete).

After reading this article, the one thing I can say is that the season should not be in the spring because it messes with so many timelines.

I think the first thing that we all have to realize is that football, including practices are not going to start until campuses are open with students. It flies in their "they are students" arguments if they bring players but not students back. Given that, most universities are not planning on making a final decision about fall until June/July timeframe. The earliest teams are going to be able to practice is going to be the end of August. I think best case scenario is shortened conference only season.

This is just total and complete lunacy. As if what we're doing now isn't bad enough, we're going to eff up the fall for NO REASON too?

Whatever little faith I had in my fellow man is gone. We have lost it.

I said this when they just kept arbitrarily throwing out lockdown dates 2 weeks before we even got to the original one. I knew we were truly ****ed when they started shutting down schools.

If Disney is planning on opening in June, college football has no freaking choice but to play and let the fans show up that aren't living in fear and want to be there.

What this guy thinks doesn't mean a thing to UF and they seem hell bent on bowing out.
If the dwags somehow win a NC and we aren't there to at least try to derail it I'm cancelling my season tickets.

You think we are even a slight speedbump? :lmao2:

We will just be praying it isnt a blow out and hoping to spin it into a moral victory again.
