We did drive-ins all the time in our PJs and they always had the playground up front and it was a double feature... like first movie would be a Disney classic or "Benji," then second movie would be like "Serpico" or "Billy Jack"

Absolutely loved Billy Jack! I walked around barefoot and practiced a high leg kick all the time because of him.

Today, I can still do one of those.

We have a busy drive-in in Ocala. When Covid started, a few of the churches did their Sunday service there and made national news. Then a few days later, it made the national news again because it was the only theater.... in the country... to show a new release. It's borderline impossible to get into now.

there is/was a drive-in in Tampa off. Never been, but passed by it a hundred times. Don't know if it is currently running during this craziness.

We used to go to the Ri-Mar drive-in in HS for dusk til dawn movies at $5 per carload. We never cared what was playing. I saw some of the weirdest movies ever at that drive in.
you actually watched movies at the drive-in?

Not a big squash fan. But... sliced into chunks along with zucchini, with some butter and fresh garlic on top, little s&p. Roasted at high temp until it just a tad crispy. That's pretty good.

just like Brussel sprouts- cannot get near them little bastids unless they’re prepared this way.

however there is no hope for okra.

okra= Satan’s testicles

:lol:

I like okra one way: sliced thin, battered in corn meal, then fried in ~1/8th inch deep vegetable oil. And eaten immediately off the skillet. If they get cold = ruined.
