Expected and good move for him. He made steady progress last year. Playing with tempo should enhance his game further.

Just read Mann clarified he is STILL in the draft process and has not made any announcement otherwise.

What teams are on the short list for Nemb? Teams that slow it down to a snails pace like UVA I am assuming.

I want to see multiple times of layup scores because we caught their defense by surprise speed. We should first look for scoring inside before they are set and before we back off in White's dumbfounded way of dribble-in-place.

Just weird

Hopefully it means Mann is back and we are running

While he is a good person, he is really not good enough to win in the SEC. Perhaps if he had the talent around him from our national championship teams he would be good enough. I never saw him take over a game when needed. Now perhaps it is the coach, but I doubt he has NBA talent and after going through the process knows it. So play at UF and not be that great, or leave and at least win and enjoy your college career. Just my take on the situation, time will tell.

I think it's a pretty major loss. He was the most consistent player on a wildly inconsistent team. I don't like our chances with White in charge and this doesn't help at all. The fact that even with superior talent over most of our opponents, we have so little faith in White being able to advantage of that tells you all you need to know, that White must go.

I know it's just a figure of speech, but "point guard room"? lol I know there is a Quarterbacks Room in the football facility but I sort of doubt that the basketball facility has a Point Guards Room.

Meanwhile, in other news...

Our old friend Mike Miller has spent the past two seasons learning the college coaching business as an assistant under Penny Hardaway at the University of Memphis. It is said that he has been regarded as the Tigers' most valuable recruiting assistant.

However, last Wednesday MM announced that he will not be coaching at Memphis next year. He says he wants to, "spend more time focused on family and wherever the journey will take me next.”

Hmmm. :scratchchin:

If/When Miller wants to continue coaching, we really need to get him back here at Florida

Frankly I wouldn't be totally be against it if UF rolled the dice and took a chance on Miller as HC right now, but probably what would be best would be for him to get a little seasoning as a HC at some mid-major school first.
I'd take him right now 100%. Its who I want as head coach. Seems he is taking some time off now though for family

I have no opinion on Miller as a head coach. But I am sure a large portion would like to have him b/c his picked his butt in Gainesville, therefore he is qualified and will be a great coach.

But I do have a serious question. To be a head coach at a major D1 university, doesn't that person have to possess a college degree? Did Miller complete his degree? I am genuinely asking.

I believe you do need a degree and it's the main reason Dion never got a serious look at FSU, despite all the talk. As for Miller I have no idea if he has one or not.

The idea of hiring Miller as HC is retarded. He's been an assistant on shcitty teams for most of his short coaching career. It's the definition of blind loyalty.

There apparently is no requirement to have a degree and I would like him to be our coach. There is some speculation that the quitting has to do with some recruiting issues but that might just be an assumption.

I also hope coach White will get his act together so we perform up to our potential.

His son is a senior in high school and a pretty good player. He left to spend more time with family, which knowing his history is on point.

The recruiting issues were with Wiseman and the head coach Penny having a prior relationship with him and giving him money for moving expenses. I havent heard of anything else
