We announced we were building a football all-in-one in 2015, coz it was the missing link to make Butters, the 3 star whisperer before our current 3 star whisperer, into an excellent recruiter.

Since we announced that in 2015, what have other schools ACTUALLY done with respect to building facilities?

Let's start with those stinking Ass Sniffers:

2017: $30 million renovation to their IPR facility
2018: $63 million renovation to their football offices
2020: $80 million dollar expansion to the football facilities.

The last expansion was approved it in MARCH and construction began a month later. It hasn't slowed down because of Wuhan Batstew Flu either. They didn't take the last six months off.

I will search each school and see what everyone else in the SEC has done since 2015.

  1. Talking to a relative about to marry into a dawg booster family recently (hey got to visit the beach house) The daddy in law says football is a blood sport and Florida doesn’t play to win. Commented on facilities and our lazy coaches. Spoke well of Mullen actually , the rest, not so much. Of course this all means squat.

What I would be more interested in would be a list of new and remodeled facilities for all our other sports and the fans/boosters like the Touchdown Terrence and the 20 million dollar trophy case Meyer built as the face of the program or whatever he called the Heavner center.

There's also the Hawkins academic center that not a single scholarship football player gives a damn about that cost 50 million. The list goes on and on with hundreds of millions of dollars spent but none on the actual players. They did build the indoor practice facility but were to damn cheap to put a locker room in so the players wouldn't have to take a mile hike to and from practice each day to dress and undress. Stricklands cryptic tweet about "funds in place for demo and utilities"
was an obvious call for more money after five years and 150 million dollars donated since announcing our goal to build the stand alone.

And what has that got Georgia!? One SEC championship and a loss in the National Championship with a team that if it was coached by anybody off the street could have won with the talent and that talent never developed in 4 years.

If a kid does not want to come here cause we don't have a ****ing arcade Funland. He was not going to come anyways. We win recruits will come for the right reason. All the sports pundits hyped Kirby Smart as the next big coach for years before he left Alabama so of course kids were going to line up and play for him they wanted to be apart of the next big thing. Well guess what he is not and never will be.

Just in case anyone was wondering if Fooley was still around, I think this answers the question :stirpot::thug::thug2:

While I agree with and share your purist vision, it’s unfortunately not the case anymore. Like it or not, we have to compete in the same fashion. For that matter, Meyer couldn’t use the same approach Spurrier did because of what had changed around us. It’s just a different animal now. But fortunately, it’s one of the few things about our recruiting that we can actually improve, HS class of 2028 or not.

In other words, ‘if my customers no longer have any interest in what I’m selling, they can go to my competitor’, This mindset has worked beautifully for every business that has ever adopted it.

Only thing that has changed is we still play by the rules while other coaches and teams are buying car dealerships buying recruits parents houses and bring cash to recruiting visits. While we try to offer education and morals

To paraphrase, other teams are doing what it takes while we continue to offer stuff nobody wants. Got it.

it's simple. if you had to take a job that involves a lot of travel oh, and one business was going to put you up in a Hilton and give you all the luxuries oh, and the other was going to put you up in a shtty Econoldge which was built in the 50s and last remodeled in the 80s, which do you take?

Of course.

The good old, "everyone cheats but us" gimmick!

Of course.

What’s the parking situation? Proximity to the airport? And is it the real Hilton, or one of the “____ by Hilton” places?

I’d need more facts.
