Through the first seven games of 2017-18 we averaged 98 points per game, 98 ppg!
Then we lost to Duke by 3, 84-87, with them outscoring us 15-2 down the stretch, and for some reason White scrapped the O and started focusing on D. We broke 80 five more times that season. :headslap:

Who needs D when you run the Grinnell college basketball "System"!

The one time he tried run and gun and then he slowed it down to a grind vs Duke at the end of the game.

You have to have the guards to push it. Nembhard didn’t seem to like to drive the basket. Even late when all we needed was his free throws after contact. Soft. Guys like Chiozza are fearless.
All 5'4 of Erving Walker was fearless. He didn't give fuch.

Remember the game vs UCLA where he ran into their big dude?

5:25 mark. Go to the 2:25 mark in the video too.

I agree with your assessment. I'll say this. Gonzaga recruited him to run their uptempo system which is consistently one of the fastest in college basketball. After 2 years of tape, they went after him again to run their system. Are they wrong? Or, more likely, Mike White's awful coaching made Nembhard look bad. He ran an uptempo system in high school.

I dunno. Nembhard can get up the floor quickly but he hasn’t been willing to draw contact & fouls. If Few gets through to him, great.

Everything goes back to the HC, so can’t/won’t argue. This last team was a train wreck. Most frustrating season in a long time. I’ve seen worse teams but this one was so maddening. Unwatchable. If he can’t learn and adjust from that then his seat will warm.

Put multiple question marks in a thread title again and face a ban.

Wow, I really hope you're not serious.

I read these kind of articles as sort of a final warning to the coach.

Why are you here? As a partial Gator, as in only partial to Gator football, why are you commenting, let alone reading these threads. Probably best to stay in your lane: B!tching about Gator football.

And yes, I complain a lot about football too, the coach, the recruiting, the facilities, the politics over sports. The difference is that I know enough to chime in every once in a while so I'm not saying the same damn thing over and over.

Just my two cents. I know it's worth less than that.

Ox doesn't joke around with punctuation. In fact, this is Ox:

Christ on a sidecar, I was kidding.
As you threaten to ban everyone at least once a week and no one actually gets banned, how long does it take before people realize you're constantly joking?

I heard Vulcans aren't good at sarcasm.

and perhaps spelling.

Remember when Calathes would melt in close games at the end. I think Walker had enough of that when he arrived. Now it didn't always work (see the Elite 8 game vs Butler I think), but he had guts and wasn't afraid.

Thanks for the clarification, I will be taking a break from posting. As you should know my sense of humor is vanishing small and my sense of disrespect is infinite. Just stating reality for me nothing personal.
